I recently read that Tatiana Maslany, who plays She-Hulk, isn’t letting some past comments she made about Disney affect her chances of returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Apparently, she’s totally open to playing She-Hulk again, despite speaking out before. It’s good to hear she’s still enthusiastic about the role!
I was completely captivated by the actress’s performance as Jennifer Walters! She played this amazing character – a lawyer who also happens to be a superhero, and Bruce Banner’s cousin, no less – in a really funny series on Disney+. It first came out during the summer of 2022, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Despite the show’s nine episodes ending with some unanswered questions, a second season hasn’t been announced. Additionally, Tatiana Maslany isn’t currently listed among the actors appearing in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars movies.
Despite the show’s short run, there’s still a possibility of future She-Hulk projects. Marvel’s head of television, Brad Winderbaum, revealed that She-Hulk: Attorney at Law performed very well on Disney+, making it one of their most successful shows.
He pointed out a difference between how the general public reacted and how dedicated fans responded, with fans being largely critical. He also noted this criticism was sometimes fueled by hateful online behavior and unfair review practices, similar to what happened with other shows like The Acolyte and Ironheart.
Among general viewers, however, “it just hit,” claimed Winderbaum.
His remarks were unexpected, especially considering the strong criticism the show She-Hulk: Attorney at Law received when it first came out, and the fact that star Tatiana Maslany spoke out about it last summer.
In September 2025, an actor joined a boycott of The Walt Disney Company after Jimmy Kimmel, a late-night talk show host, was briefly taken off the air following the death of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
Five days after the event, Jimmy Kimmel claimed that people who support Donald Trump were attempting to downplay the connection between the shooter and their political group, and were instead trying to benefit politically from the tragedy.
Jimmy Kimmel’s comments sparked controversy, leading ABC – owned by Disney – to temporarily take his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, off the air. This decision angered those critical of Trump, who argued it was a restriction on free speech.
So, things really escalated! A full-on boycott of Disney started, with folks dropping their subscriptions to Disney+, Hulu, and even ESPN. I saw that Tatiana Maslany, the star, even chimed in on Instagram, urging people to cancel all three, according to Deadline.

The announcement made some viewers question whether “She-Hulk” had been cancelled, or if Tatiana Maslany was planning to step away from Marvel Studios for a while.
In a recent interview with TopMob, while promoting her Apple TV+ series Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, Tatiana Maslany explained that her character exists separately from the main direction of the show, suggesting she’d be open to returning if asked.
I’m a big fan of She-Hulk, and I really appreciated the work Jessica Gao, the creator of Attorney at Law, did with the character. I thought the show stayed true to the source material and the comics.
Maslany mentioned that if the story allowed for her character to return, she’d be open to it. However, she emphasized she has no inside information and believes fans will likely find out about any potential return before she does.

Despite the show’s surprisingly good ratings, bringing back She-Hulk is tricky because creating the character with motion-capture CGI is very costly.
The first season of the show cost over $200 million to produce, which is a remarkably high budget for any streaming series, even successful ones.
I’m really excited to hear Mark Ruffalo is coming back as Bruce Banner! It’s been a while since we’ve seen him, last being in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. And honestly, I’m hoping they’ll at least give a little nod to his family – you know, Jennifer Walters, and even Skaar, his son! It would be cool to see some acknowledgment of that whole side of his life in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is available to stream on Disney+. Sign-up to Disney+ from £5.99 a month.
