This Overlooked Apple TV Show Is The Best Thing On Streaming- And All Episodes Are Available Now

The first season of Apple TV+’s new comedy-drama recently wrapped up with a moving and fulfilling finale, and it’s a shame more people aren’t watching. Apple has consistently produced high-quality shows, including hits like Severance and Ted Lasso (both returning for new seasons), as well as charming, under-the-radar gems like Shrinking.

I’ve been really enjoying Apple TV+, and I’m always a little frustrated when great shows don’t get the attention they deserve. There are already a few hidden gems like Dickinson and The Crowded Room, but I just finished watching the first season of Margo’s Got Money Troubles, and it’s absolutely fantastic – it definitely deserves to be talked about more! It’s quickly become one of my favorites.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles Is A Sleeper Hit

I’ve been loving Margo’s Got Money Troubles and it seems like a lot of other people are too! It’s gotten amazing reviews – almost a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, and it even made it into Apple’s Top 10! The critics still give it a 97% rating, which is incredible. While regular viewers like it, giving it a solid 78%, it doesn’t quite reach the same heights as the critical response. Honestly, I think that difference just proves how good this show really is and how many people are missing out!

The series follows Margo, a college student who has a relationship with her professor and unexpectedly becomes pregnant. She chooses to keep the baby, but the professor, Mark, is upset because he’s married with a family who are unaware of the affair. This leaves Margo to navigate single motherhood, even with help from her roommate and the return of her father.

To support herself and her baby, Margo starts an OnlyFans account. While it initially provides the income she desperately needs, the decision soon creates significant problems, impacting her job, relationships, and even her ability to raise her son. The story that unfolds is deeply moving and explores themes of family, resilience, and societal expectations, all told with warmth and humor.

This Star-Studded Cast Is Absolute Gold

One of the best things about Margo’s Got Money Troubles is the incredible cast. Elle Fanning is fantastic as Margo, delivering both humor and deeply emotional performances. She’s often joined by Nick Offerman, who plays her father, Jinx, a former wrestler battling addiction. Rounding out the family is Michelle Pfeiffer as Margo’s mother, Shyanne.

As a total cinema fan, I have to say even the supporting characters in this show are incredible. Take Lace, played by Nicole Kidman – she’s a wrestler and a lawyer, and she really becomes important as the story unfolds. Honestly, with such a talented cast, the already-good story gets even better. Especially with the performances from Dakota Fanning and Nick Offerman, and the storylines of Margo and Jinx, it elevates the show beyond your typical comedy-drama. It’s surprisingly deep and complex!

Season 2 Is Already In The Works

It’s a great time to start watching Margo’s Got Money Troubles, especially since a second season has already been greenlit! The first season ended with a lot of unanswered questions – particularly around Margo’s family and some surprising twists – which will likely be explored in the next season. Considering how well-received the first season was, we can expect season two to be just as good.

We don’t know yet when season 2 will be released, as there hasn’t been an official announcement. It probably won’t be available in 2026, though. That gives viewers time to enjoy the complete first season – all 8 episodes are now streaming on Apple TV – and get ready for more of these engaging characters and their captivating story. Hopefully, the show will gain more popularity by the time the new season arrives, as it truly deserves.
