If you’re wondering why Insomniac Games has been consistently releasing popular Marvel games recently, just check out the top-selling PlayStation 5 titles after last week’s State of Play presentation.
We previously noted that Marvel’s Wolverine was leading pre-orders, and now it’s climbing the charts on the PlayStation Store’s list of top-selling games. It’s even surpassing recently released titles like LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and MLB The Show 26.
The new action adventure game is currently fourth in US sales, trailing only NBA 2K26, Fortnite, and 007 First Light. It’s not surprising that NBA 2K26 is number one, with the NBA Finals happening now. Fortnite recently launched a new season, and the James Bond game from IOI has already sold over three million copies.
I’m so excited to see this comic is doing incredibly well, and it’s not just here in the States! Over in the UK and Spain, it’s already landed in the top six! Even in France and Germany, where it hasn’t even been released yet, it’s already getting a lot of buzz and is trending upwards. It’s amazing to see this kind of international success!
With the marketing for Marvel’s Wolverine just beginning, things are looking very promising. As more gameplay footage and details are revealed closer to the game’s release, I anticipate it will become even more popular.
Insomniac needs to deliver on the final product, as many people are waiting to see what reviewers think. However, initial impressions are very positive, and it appears Logan (likely referring to the character Wolverine) is poised for a major debut.
