Kingdom Hearts 4 Unveiled, Rest of Series is Coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 8th

Square Enix announced that the entire Kingdom Hearts series – including Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 HD Remix, Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts 3 + ReMind – is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. They also confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 4 will be available on the new console. The announcement was made with a trailer during the recent Nintendo Direct, which you can watch below.

The new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4 didn’t share many specifics about the story’s continuation after Kingdom Hearts 3. Instead, it offered subtle clues about the plans of Organization XIII and showed giant monsters attacking what seems to be the real world. We see Sora battling one of these massive creatures with his Keyblade, and get a glimpse of some of the characters who will appear in the game.

Kingdom Hearts 4 looks to bring back the fast-action combat fans love from the series, letting Sora use plenty of moves to defeat the Heartless. We can expect more information about the game in the near future.

Okay, huge news for Kingdom Hearts fans! All the games – the collections, everything – are finally hitting the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 8th. They’re even releasing a bundle with all three collections at once, which is awesome. And get this – a demo for Kingdom Hearts 3 is dropping later today! I’m so hyped to play these on the go!

Kingdom Hearts 4 will be released on Nintendo Switch 2, as well as PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
