Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Announced for Switch 2 With First Teaser Trailer

Okay, so Nintendo just dropped a huge bomb during their latest Direct! They’re officially remaking Ocarina of Time for the Switch 2! We’d been hearing rumors for months – there was this big report earlier in the year saying it was coming – and Nintendo kinda hinted at it a few times, but now we finally got to see it! As a Zelda fan, this is seriously exciting – Ocarina of Time is considered by a lot of people to be the best Zelda game ever, so a full remake on new hardware is a dream come true.

The first teaser for the upcoming remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is just over a minute long and doesn’t reveal much gameplay. It mainly introduces the story and gives a quick look at a redesigned young Link. The glimpse of Link suggests the Switch 2 version will have significantly improved graphics, making it stand out from previous releases on Nintendo 64, GameCube, and 3DS.
