I was so excited to hear about The Duskbloods again! It feels like forever since FromSoftware first announced they were making a game just for the Nintendo Switch 2. Honestly, after a year of no news, I’d almost given up hope! But today, they showed it off again and even announced they’re letting fans like me test it out soon. I can’t wait to finally get my hands on it!
Nintendo recently shared a new trailer for The Duskbloods, but it was surprisingly brief. The one-minute video didn’t show any actual gameplay; instead, it focused on introducing the game’s characters and settings.
The biggest announcement from the trailer is that FromSoftware will be running a limited “Closed Network Test” for The Duskbloods this summer. This test will help them make sure the game runs well before it’s officially released. FromSoftware hasn’t yet said how players can apply to participate, but they expect to share those details soon – likely within the next few days or weeks.
The biggest surprise surrounding The Duskbloods is still the lack of a firm release date. Nintendo and FromSoftware have repeated that the game is planned to launch on the Switch 2 before the end of 2026, but they haven’t given a specific date yet. We’ll probably get more information about when the game will be fully released after the current testing phase is complete.
Currently, The Duskbloods is confirmed to be in development only for the Nintendo Switch 2, and there are no plans to release it on any other systems. We’ll share updates about the upcoming Closed Network Test and the game’s release date here on ComicBook as soon as we have them.
