They’ve announced some fantastic new voice actors joining the cast. Megumi Han, who you might know from shows like Naruto and One Piece, will be voicing Zavthier, and the incredible Tomokazu Sugita (Gintama, Demon Slayer) is going to play Lasswell. What Makes Clevatess Dark?
Clevatess isn’t a typical hero in this anime. Initially presented as a powerful, dangerous beast, it readily defeats anyone who challenges it. After defeating many legendary heroes, Clevatess spares one, Alicia, and forces her to become its servant. Surprisingly, this fearsome creature is actually trying to protect a royal child, a promise made to a king on his deathbed, which complicates everything in the story.
The anime’s Chief Animation Director, Soichiro Sako, recently shared some clues about what Season 2 will cover on the official Clevatess website. He explained that the new key visual for the season aims to capture the entire story in a single image. It shows Clevatess and Alicia facing each other, representing the contrasting storylines that will unfold on either side of the academy—the season’s main setting. Sako encourages viewers to pay attention to the characters’ new costumes and expressions, which hint at a growing sense of danger and intrigue. He believes the visual will offer a clear understanding of the story as it progresses, and encourages fans to look forward to the season’s broadcast.
