Superman’s 5 Most Powerful Inventions, Ranked

Superman is one of the most powerful superheroes in existence. He can shatter diamonds in his hand and fly across the universe if that’s what it takes to save the day. No matter how mighty the threat before him is, Superman will always rise to the occasion and save the day. Sometimes, however, not even the Man of Steel’s incredible powers are enough to restore order. Of course, something as simple as a lack of strength isn’t nearly enough to stand between Superman and a happy ending. When the Man of Tomorrow can’t punch or fly his way out of a problem, he’ll put his mind to it and think his way out.

While everyone knows Superman is incredibly strong, many don’t realize he’s also a brilliant scientist. Thanks to Kryptonian technology and his own super-intelligence, he’s solved problems nobody else could. Today, we’ll explore five of Superman’s most powerful inventions, ranking them by their potential danger and sheer power – and some of them are incredibly destructive.

5) Artificial Sun Heart

In the famous comic All-Star Superman, a crisis occurred when the sun’s core was damaged by Solaris. Superman bravely flew inside the sun to stabilize it, and remarkably, he constructed an entire artificial heart to hold it together and maintain its energy production. This device was powerful enough to control the sun from within using immense gravitational force. Even if it only used a small portion of the sun’s energy to function, it would essentially be a reverse Dyson sphere – providing the sun with all the energy it needed to continue shining brightly.

4) Earth Q

In the comic All-Star Superman, the hero, facing his own mortality, envisioned a world without himself. He created Earth Q, a small, complete universe where Superman never existed. The story strongly suggests that Earth Q is actually our own world, with two key people creating Superman as a character in a comic book. While Earth Q possesses the same resources and destructive capabilities as our universe, its true strength lies in its limitless potential – anything could happen there, and it could evolve rapidly. It’s a universe brimming with possibilities, and that potential is truly remarkable.

3) Superman Robots

To help maintain the Fortress of Solitude and cover his secret identity, Superman created a small army of robots, each able to mimic his powers to a lesser extent. I don’t think I need to explain how dangerous an entire army of robots with powers similar to Superman can be. Even if we assume that each robot only has five percent of his powers, there are at least a hundred, and that’s an entire Superman spread across many destructive hands. Superman: King of the World showed just how dangerous these robots can be, as an imposter Superman used them to conquer the world and enforce his rule. These robots are literal men of steel.

2) Power Charger

Even with all his amazing abilities, Superman can be weakened in several ways. To prevent the threat of Gold Kryptonite, he invented the Power Charger – a device designed to give ordinary people Kryptonian powers. While it worked, it wasn’t perfect. It granted users powers for four hours, but afterward, those powers would rapidly increase until the person exploded. Still, even four hours with Superman’s strength is incredibly powerful. He represents the peak of strength in DC Comics, and this device can temporarily make someone like him.

1) Super-Elixir

Imagine having Superman’s powers for a full day – flying, super strength, the whole package! In the comic All-Star Superman, Superman actually created a potion that did just that for Lois Lane. It was an amazing gift, letting her experience everything he could do. But the really incredible part is that drinking the potion repeatedly would grant someone permanent Superman-level power without any drawbacks. This invention is arguably the most powerful and potentially dangerous thing Superman has ever created, with the ability to drastically change the balance of the universe.
