Ubisoft has once more postponed the release date for “Assassin’s Creed Shadows,” which is now scheduled to launch on March 20th instead of February 14th. The game will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store. This decision was made despite Ubisoft’s earlier commitment that there would be no further delays for this open-world action RPG.
According to franchise executive producer Marc-Alexis Cote on Twitter, “Although we’ve made significant progress so far, we think a bit more time is required – around three additional weeks – to incorporate the feedback and create an even more exciting and immersive day-1 experience for our players. We will continue fostering open communication between our player base and development teams, and you can expect further updates in the near future.
Originally scheduled for launch on November 15th, Assassin’s Creed Shadows was postponed due to a focus on polishing the game, following the underperformance of another title, Star Wars Outlaws. Ubisoft additionally revealed that the game would be available on Steam at launch, advanced access would not be offered, and they would discontinue the Season Pass model. Instead, all those who pre-ordered the game would receive the first expansion for free.
