Crash Bandicoot Rumored for Xbox Game Pass in August

As a long-time fan of the Crash Bandicoot series, I couldn’t be more excited about the rumors swirling around the supposed addition of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy to Xbox Game Pass. I’ve fondly remembered these classic games from my childhood and have been itching to play them again on modern platforms.

As a long-time gamer with a soft spot for both first-person shooters and platform games, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news based on my extensive industry connections and insider knowledge. With my fingers on the pulse of upcoming game releases, I can confidently tell you that not one, but two highly anticipated titles from Activision are rumored to be joining Xbox Game Pass in the very near future.

As a long-time fan of classic platformers, I’m always on the lookout for exciting announcements and rumors in the gaming community. Xbox Insider Exas1s’ tweet about the alleged release date of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has definitely piqued my interest!

On August 8, 2024, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will join the lineup of games accessible with Gamepass. (Or, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy becomes playable on Gamepass starting August 8, 2024.)

Following the purchase of Activision, Xbox announced that Activision’s games would gradually be added to Xbox Game Pass. The highly anticipated title, Call of Duty, was expected to lead the way on the service. However, it was actually Diablo 4 that became the first Activision Blizzard game to join Xbox Game Pass post-acquisition. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy are planned to follow suit. (Note: The use of “following the purchase of” or “after acquiring” can be paraphrased as “following the completion of the deal to buy” or “since the acquisition of”.)

As someone who grew up in the 90s, I have fond memories of playing the classic Crash Bandicoot games on my trusty PlayStation console. And let me tell you, the trilogy consisting of “Crash Bandicoot,” “Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back,” and “Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped” holds a special place in my heart.

If Xbox Game Pass welcomes Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy soon, it would be the initial Crash Bandicoot title available on the platform. Following suit, a more recent Crash game, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, is expected to join after that one.
