Dead by Daylight Reveals New Resident Evil 2v8 Event Beginning Soon

In the upcoming days, the horror game Dead by Daylight is scheduled to confront Capcom’s renowned survival-horror series Resident Evil in a brand new 2vs8 event. So far, Resident Evil has been incorporated into Dead by Daylight in various forms. Through Chapters 20 and 25 of Dead by Daylight, developer Behaviour Interactive introduced Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Ada Wong, and Rebecca Chambers as playable Survivors, while Nemesis and Albert Wesker were added as Killers. Now, these two Killers will team up for an event that will span most of this month.

Starting on February 10th, “Dead by Daylight” will debut a fresh 2v8 game mode entirely focused on Resident Evil. This new mode, known as 2v8, has rapidly become one of the most sought-after limited-time modes within “DBD”. In its third version, the creators are bringing Wesker (The Mastermind) and Nemesis (The Nemesis) together to hunt down a team of eight survivors. To make things even more thrilling, this event will unfold within the police department of Raccoon City.

In addition to the current gameplay, developers at Behaviour Interactive plan to introduce some fresh Resident Evil-themed cosmetics for Dead by Daylight during this event. The iconic Nemesis character will receive a new skin modeled after his original appearance in Resident Evil 3, while Wesker is expected to wear his outfit from the remastered version of Resident Evil 4. Moreover, Leon, Jill, Ada, and Rebecca are all set to obtain classic skins for players to collect too.

To sum up, Behaviour Interactive has announced that players can access and play all Resident Evil characters free of charge during the ongoing 2v8 event, which ends on February 25th. In other words, if you don’t own any of the Killers or Survivors associated with Resident Evil in Dead by Daylight, this game mode will make them all available to you for this specific event. So, if you’re curious about experiencing this Resident Evil event within DBD, there should be no obstacles preventing you from joining in the fun!
