Okay, so Silent Hill is back – and it’s awesome! After the buzz around the Silent Hill 2 Remake, Konami isn’t just rehashing old ideas. They’re really trying to do something new with psychological horror, exploring different ways to scare us instead of just copying what worked before. It’s exciting to see them take risks and not just rely on nostalgia.
Silent Hill f marked a significant change for the series, transporting players to rural Japan in the 1960s – a departure from the usual American settings. It embraced Japanese horror imagery and emphasized close-quarters combat, which proved controversial among longtime fans. The developers have indicated that future Silent Hill games will each explore horror in their own distinct way, suggesting a willingness to experiment with new ideas.
We now have more specific information about the upcoming game, Silent Hill: Townfall, created by Screen Burn and Annapurna Interactive. The game takes place in 1990s Scotland and instead of a radio, players will use a CRT television to find clues and piece together the story. Konami estimates the game will be released sometime in 2026.
We still don’t have a firm release date for Townfall this year, but fans of Silent Hill f will be excited to hear about a new release coming in September 2026. You can pre-order it now through Gecco.
Fans of the Silent Hill series can look forward to a new, highly detailed collectible statue of Kashimashi, the frightening creature from Silent Hill f. Gecco and Sideshow are creating this officially licensed, 9-inch (23 cm) statue, which will be available for pre-order starting now. It’s expected to ship between July and September 2026 and will cost $390 through Sideshow or ¥49,800 directly from Gecco’s website.
This sculpture, created by Shin Tanabe, depicts a character with a removable head showing horribly burned eyes and a sliced-off face. The base is designed to look like a back alley from Ebisugaoka, a rural Japanese town featured in the game, and evokes the atmosphere of 1960s Japan.
If you like this Kashimashi statue, Gecco offers other collectibles inspired by Silent Hill. They currently have a terrifying Pyramid Head statue from Silent Hill 2 with a unique design, plus beautiful tapestry prints from both Silent Hill 2 and SH3.
While fans eagerly await news on the release date for the much-awaited Silent Hill: Townfall, this officially licensed statue is a striking collectible that any dedicated Silent Hill enthusiast will appreciate.
