Take-Two Interactive Will Release 6 Remakes and Remasters in Fiscal Years 2028 and 2029

Take-Two Interactive is gearing up for the highly anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto 6, and has a lot planned beyond that. In addition to their annual sports games like NBA 2K27, PGA Tour 2K27, and WWE 2K27, and new titles like Judas and Project ETHOS, the company is also working on several remasters and remakes of existing games.

Take-Two Interactive plans to release six updated versions of older games – including remakes, remasters, and ports to new platforms – between now and 2029. This is in addition to the three completely new game series and seven sequels they are currently developing.

Many gamers are excited about the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake, currently in development by Remedy Entertainment and Rockstar. While it seems unlikely, some speculate that Red Dead Redemption 1 might eventually be released on more platforms. But could the rumors about a remastered version of Red Dead Redemption 2 finally be true?

Okay, so they keep mentioning “platform extensions,” and honestly, it sounds like that could mean Grand Theft Auto 6 eventually coming to things like the PS6, whatever Project Helix is, and definitely PC. If that’s the case, I’m guessing we PC gamers might see it ported over sometime next year, or maybe early 2028. Fingers crossed!
