The popular show The Bear will end with its fifth and final season later this month, and a first preview of the eight new episodes has just been released.
A trailer for the fifth season is out, offering a sneak peek at what’s to come after Carmy, played by Jeremy Allen White, decided to leave the restaurant at the end of last season.
As expected, the trailer shows him back in the kitchen, working with his team to save the business. They’re dealing with problems like flooding and the possibility of closing down, all while Oliver Platt’s character, Uncle Jimmy, is considering selling the building.
Throughout the trailer, Carmy and the team are frequently shown wearing blue t-shirts with the restaurant’s original name: “Original Beef of Chicagoland.” Interestingly, the shirts even include the same misspelling – “Original Berf” – that Richie had on his shirt in season one. It’s currently unclear what significance this detail holds for the new season.

Viewers will be happy to see Ayo Edebiri’s Sydney confidently leading the restaurant after making a deal with Carmy in the previous season, and they’ll also appreciate seeing Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Richie play a significant role.
The movie ‘Gary,’ which told the backstory of Richie and Mikey before the first season, concluded with a scene set in the present day: a devastating car crash involving Richie.
Season five will feature Ayo Edebiri, John Moss-Bachrach, and Nick Platt alongside Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson. Returning cast members include Ricky Staffieri, Will Poulter, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Season 5 begins the morning after Sydney, Richie, and Sugar find out that Carmy has left the restaurant and the culinary world, entrusting them with running it.
Facing financial difficulties, the possibility of losing their restaurant, and a severe storm, the new partners and their team must pull together to deliver one final, exceptional service. They’re hoping to finally earn a coveted Michelin star. In the end, they discover that a restaurant’s true success isn’t just about the food, but about the people who make it special.
Season 5 of The Bear will be available to stream on Disney+ starting Friday, June 26, 2026. You can subscribe to Disney+ for as little as £5.99 per month right now.
