Two games on Steam are currently available to download for free and are verified to work well with the Steam Deck. However, this offer ends on June 14th. If you download them before then, you’ll own them forever. Unlike many free games on Steam, these two are highly rated and popular with players.
A Steam Deck Verified game means Valve has tested it and confirmed it runs smoothly on the handheld device from beginning to end. While there have been some cases where games received this verification even if they didn’t fully work, that’s not a concern with these two free PC games.
Gravity Circuit
Gravity Circuit is a fast-paced, 2D platformer that takes inspiration from classic games of the 80s and 90s. You play as Kai, a skilled warrior with unique gravity-based powers, on a mission to stop robots from taking over a futuristic world. A sequel, Gravity Circuit 2, is planned for release in 2027.
Gravity Circuit, developed by Domesticated Ant Games and published by PID Games and Dear Villagers, launched in 2023 and has quickly become a hit with players. It boasts an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam – the platform’s highest distinction – based on positive reviews from 95% of its over 2,120 users. Critics also love it, giving the game an impressive score of 89 on Metacritic.
PICO Park: Classic Edition
PICO Park is a fun, cooperative puzzle game for 2 to 8 players. You can play together in person or online, and the goal is simple: find all the keys and reach the end of each level. But with 48 levels packed with tricky obstacles, it’s not as easy as it sounds!
PICO Park, developed and published by Tecopark, came out in 2021. While it used to cost money to play, it’s now free to download because it will be removed from sale on June 14th. The game has been very well-received, earning a “Very Positive” rating from 94% of its 9,463 player reviews – just a small step below the highest possible rating on Steam.
