IO Interactive is set to unveil details for their game titled 007 First Light, part of the James Bond series, on June 6th. But instead of waiting, they released their first trailer during the recent State of Play event. Here’s a look at it below.
In the backstory, First Light introduces a younger Bond character who’s both brilliant and ambitious, yet impulsive. He begins his career at MI6 as a recruit and takes on various tasks to eventually claim his well-known code number. Throughout this narrative, there are numerous cinematic scenes, while hints of gameplay reminiscent of the Hitman series occasionally surface.
In a simpler and more conversational manner: Bond is skilled at pickpocketing, observes his surroundings closely, moves quietly when necessary, throws gadgets at opponents, and can neutralize threats effectively. He isn’t shy about making some noise either, often resorting to close-quarter combat and using handguns and rifles in battle.
