It seems Jason Statham will continue to shatter bones and cause explosions until he’s 90, yet we couldn’t care less about that. There’s no one else we’d prefer for such roles other than him. Statham first gained prominence in Guy Ritchie’s “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.” Since then, he has shot more bullets and exceeded speed limits more times than any other film star behind the wheel. However, audiences just can’t seem to get enough of him, as demonstrated by his 2024 ranking among the world’s most financially successful actors.
In his acting career thus far, which includes the latest film “A Working Man”, Jason Statham has appeared in a total of 45 movies, most of them action-packed. For any new fan eager to watch all of his films, it might be quite an undertaking to sift through the multitude of streaming services out there. Fortunately, Prime Video offers a good selection of Statham’s works, with 10 currently available for viewing, and more expected to join the lineup in the future. We’ll make sure to keep you updated when that happens.

‘The Meg’ (2018)
In the film “The Meg,” directed by Jon Turteltaub, viewers are introduced to the underwater world of Jonas Taylor, a skilled diver portrayed by Jason Statham. Taylor is summoned back into action by two old acquaintances following a mishap during a deep-sea exploration mission. It seems that the team had accidentally revived the Megalodon, an enormous prehistoric shark believed to be extinct, and it’s now Taylor’s responsibility to save them from this fearsome predator.
A Thrilling Cinematic Feast
The Meg” should be a top pick for fans of Jason Statham due to his outstanding portrayal as a classic action hero. He skillfully embodies the rugged, no-nonsense, and emotionally scarred character Taylor, who confronts an opponent far more powerful and immense than himself. The film also showcases breathtaking underwater scenes and maintains an exhilarating speed, all while injecting just the right amount of humor.

‘Snatch’ (2000)
If you’re into heist thrillers, Guy Ritchie’s movie Snatch is a must-see! It’s a rollercoaster ride of a crime comedy set in the vibrant and unpredictable world of London’s criminal underworld. Despite their diverse backgrounds, from an erratic mobster to a struggling boxing promoter, all characters are tied together by one common element – a valuable stolen diamond. The intricate plot unfolds with each character engaging in gripping acts of violence, propelling the story forward.
British Crime Comedy at its Best
This movie, featuring an array of eccentric characters portrayed by stars like Brad Pitt, Jason Statham, Alan Ford, Benicio del Toro, Stephen Graham, and others, is a captivating masterpiece that keeps audiences hooked with its quick-witted dialogue and unforeseen plot turns. Statham brings the character Turkish to life with his dry humor and compelling charisma. With Ritchie’s distinctive directing style, non-linear storytelling, and critical acclaim, Snatch earns its place among cult classics.

‘Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre’ (2023)
In this action-spy movie, Jason Statham plays Orson Fortune, an experienced and quick-thinking operative. His assignment is to assemble a group of elite international agents and thwart a deal involving lethal weapons technology. However, the mission takes an unexpected comedic twist when Fortune enlists a renowned actor from Hollywood to infiltrate the circle of the arms dealer.
Espionage, Action, and Humor
Under Guy Ritchie’s direction, the film titled “Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre” showcases Jason Statham’s knack for seamlessly moving between high-octane action scenes and humorous, lighter moments. The movie adopts a lively and genre-aware tone, with the pacing being spot on. The ensemble cast is exceptional as well, featuring Josh Hartnett, Aubrey Plaza, Hugh Grant, and Cary Elwes, each adding their distinct charm to the adventure and elevating it among clever, action-packed thrillers.

‘Chaos’ (2005)
As a fan, I’ll always hold Director Tony Gilgio in high regard for bringing together the dynamic duo of Jason Statham and Wesley Snipes in one film. It’s reminiscent of the classic cat-and-mouse game from “Demolition Man,” with Jason Statham’s Detective Quentin Conners hot on the trail of the elusive robber, Lorenz, played by none other than Wesley Snipes. However, what makes this heist unusual is that Lorenz hasn’t made off with any loot. The enigmatic Chaos seems to have the answers to this intriguing puzzle.
Who to Root For?
This fast-paced action movie, in essence, is nothing short of breathtaking. The director masterfully combines grand visual spectacle with awe-inspiring gunfights, resulting in a thrilling, adrenaline-pumping, and occasionally melancholic story that rekindles our passion for the genre. It’s certainly advantageous to have the acting talents of Ryan Phillipe, Henry Czerny, and the captivating charm of Justine Waddell, especially since they help drive the plot filled with surprising twists. Amidst its barrage of bullets and blows, this movie titled Chaos is definitely worth staying for.

‘Redemption’ aka ‘Hummingbird’ (2013)
As a movie lover finding myself immersed in the world of “Hummingbird”, I, Joey (Statham), find myself grappling with the common vet woes that our government seems to neglect. Fresh off the battlefields of Afghanistan, I’m left jobless and homeless in London. The weight of PTSD hangs heavy on my shoulders. Luckily, I stumble upon a temporary refuge in an apartment belonging to an absent photographer for a staggering eight-month duration. However, the plot thickens when I cross paths with a mysterious nun, leading me down a path that seems anything but bright.
Peaking Into London’s Underworld
This “Hummingbird” film stands firm with its modern neon aesthetic, harsh script, and daring Lynch-like motifs, which makes it robust. The mastermind behind “Peaky Blinders”, Steven Knight, guided the production, so the excellence is unsurprising. Generally, Knight is drawn to drama, but the action in this piece could deceive you into believing he’s been working with this genre for years. Without a doubt, it ranks among Jason Statham’s finest performances outside of American productions.

‘13’ (2010)
In the movie “13,“, Vince (Sam Riley) is going through tough times. When he accidentally receives a letter concerning money matters for a deceased person, he reads it carefully as it mentions a secret tournament offering large sums of money. Eager to change his circumstances, Vince decides to pretend he’s the intended recipient and travels to the tournament site. Upon arrival, he is compelled to take part in a lethal game of Russian roulette, organized by wealthy individuals, with one of them being portrayed by Jason Statham.
The Dark Games of the Elite
Géla Babluani’s fiery tale of despair and manipulation offers a contemporary and thoughtfully designed production. The brisk tempo and vibrant aesthetics are unsurprising given the movie is a reimagining of 13 Tzaméti, directed by the same creator. Statham delivers an outstanding performance as a corrupt member of high society, while Mickey Rourke and 50 Cent also shine in their respective parts. It’s enjoyable to witness Statham in a role that allows him to use his fists less frequently.
4
‘Safe’ (2012)
Luke Wright (portrayed by Statham) from the film “Safe” is a quiet, former boxer whose life has become empty after the Russian mafia killed his family due to him intentionally losing a fight. Eventually, he encounters a gifted mathematician who’s being pursued by the Chinese Triad, leaving him with no choice but to shield her. As expected, this adds more turmoil to his life, yet there might be a glimmer of hope.
Never Mess with a Child
The protective dynamic between a man and a child, though possibly composed of various elements, remains no less impactful and emotional. Kudos to young Catherine Chan for her commendable portrayal of Mei. Through her acting, the main conflicts are frequently softened by moments of tender emotion. Despite the constant threat in the movie, with Statham at the helm, you’ll feel as secure as Mei does in the film “Safe“.
3
‘The Beekeeper’ (2024)
A significant scamming scheme is active within the community known as The Beekeeper. Despite having sufficient funds to construct towers, those orchestrating it are reckless in choosing their victims. Unfortunately for them, they picked on an elderly woman who has graciously provided shelter to a former covert intelligence agent named Adam Clay, portrayed by Statham. As anticipated, he sets out to exact revenge upon them.
The Punisher?
Let’s say it together: ‘I won’t rob the powerless and defenseless again'”
The Beekeeper’s quotes, though simple, always pack a punch. Jason Statham’s action movies often receive mixed reviews from critics, but this time, everyone was impressed, even the audience who helped make the $160 million box office success possible. Let’s hope for part two, with David Ayer returning as director.
2
‘Wild Card’ (2015)
In the vein of William Goldman’s 1985 novel “Heat” and the 1986 film starring Burt Reynolds, the story Wild Card centers around Nick Wild (Statham), a skilled Las Vegas bodyguard who frequently squanders his earnings on gambling. A fateful day arrives when a gangster viciously attacks his cherished friend, a prostitute. In retaliation, Nick takes action against the assailant, which in turn triggers the mob to pursue him.
Obliterating the Mob
Under the direction of Simon West (known for films like Con Air, Tomb Raider, and The Expendables 2), Wild Card presents a heartfelt exploration of Vegas’ less glamorous aspects, surpassing the Burt Reynolds version. Jason Statham delivers a strong performance as a relentless guardian unwilling to stand by while oppression occurs, much like bauxite ore in its solidity. Sofía Vergara adds a striking touch to the cast with her brief yet impactful portrayal of D.D., a socialite who recruits Nick for a task.
1
‘Blitz’ (2011)
A sense of fear has seeped into the police force of Southeast London, in the series known as Blitz. A cunning murderer is exclusively targeting police officers, leading Detective Sergeant Tom Brant (portrayed by Statham) to pursue this menacing figure. Will he manage to apprehend the criminal before the criminal manages to catch him?
Who Will Stop the Menace?
If you’re familiar with action movies, you might think you’ve seen it all. But wait until you see Jason Statham unleash his unique punching style in the Lionsgate film “Blitz”. This movie is a non-stop action delight. The hard-boiled Luke Evans, who shares the screen with Statham as his brother in the “Fast & Furious” series, is also part of this thrilling ride. Even if you enter the theater with low expectations, you’re in for a satisfying viewing experience.
