Ubisoft unintentionally revealed the title for its upcoming expansion for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, titled “Claws of Awaji,” through an update to the game’s Steam page following yesterday’s delay. According to Insider Gaming, this information was briefly displayed in the pre-order section and indicates that the DLC will offer more than 10 hours of content.
Beyond fresh tales and missions, the upcoming expansion will also unveil a brand-new area on our map, a novel weapon category, and fresh abilities and equipment to acquire. This newly introduced weapon type is rumored to be the Bō – a traditional Japanese staff weapon.
Ubisoft has officially announced that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will have at least two expansions following its full release on March 20th, 2025. Unlike the initial expansions for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which were set in Paris and a druidic cult-themed area, these new expansions for Shadows are expected to be slightly longer, about 10 hours each. It’s worth noting that the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion for Valhalla was significantly larger than the first DLC for Shadows.
