Ever since the grand finale of Avengers: Endgame, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been bustling with an array of fresh, dynamic heroes gracing our screens. The artful transformation of Marvel Comics’ tales and characters into live-action movies and TV shows has catapulted the MCU to the top echelons of cinematic franchises worldwide. With a myriad of super-powered beings coexisting in a single universe, the franchise has been brimming with heavyweights even from its infancy.
However, not every Marvel titan was immediately welcomed into the fold; many formidable forces didn’t make their MCU debut until the Multiverse Saga had already unfolded. As a cinephile captivated by this universe, I can’t wait to see who else joins the ranks of these extraordinary beings!
The closing scene of “Avengers: Endgame” signaled the start of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) Multiverse Storyline, requiring even greater superheroes. Consequently, we’ve witnessed the arrival of cosmic powerhouses, characters boasting impressive skill sets, and in certain instances, deities themselves. Remarkably, following the extraordinary occurrences of “Endgame”, the MCU has continued to introduce a host of thrilling and potent new superheroes.
10. Ms. Marvel
In the 2022 Disney+ series titled “Ms. Marvel”, one of the most thrilling new heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was introduced. The show presented a revised account of the hero’s beginnings, which centered around cosmic powers granted by powerful bracelets from another dimension. It was eventually disclosed that Ms. Marvel’s capabilities were also linked to a dormant mutant gene, adding an additional intriguing aspect to this promising young superhero.
The versatility of Ms. Marvel makes her a remarkable asset in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga. Her abilities can be employed in numerous innovative ways, and given her backstory within the MCU, it appears she will continue to grow in strength. It has been confirmed that Kamala Khan will headline the Young Avengers in the MCU, which underscores her position as one of the most potent new heroes since Endgame.
9. America Chavez
In 2022’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, America Chavez first appeared on the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) stage. Her character played a crucial role in expanding the wider storyline about the Multiverse. Chavez has the unique ability to move freely between different realities, which was central to the film’s plot, but also hints at her significant power within the franchise. Initially, she seemed unable to fully master her powers, yet the potential they hold positions her as a significant character in the MCU’s Multiverse storyline.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Chavez stands out as the only character who can effortlessly traverse different realities without causing any invasions. This exceptional talent makes her one of the most powerful newcomers in the franchise during the Multiverse Saga, as her abilities could turn out to be indispensable. The possibilities for her reality-jumping powers seem endless, which unexpectedly elevates America Chavez to a crucial role in the MCU.
8. Shang-Chi
One plausible candidate for joining the upcoming Avengers team in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) could be Simu Liu’s character, Shang-Chi. He was first introduced in the 2021 film “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings“, where he was portrayed as a skilled kung fu master and the son of the MCU’s Mandarin, Xu Wenwu. From the onset, Shang-Chi appears to be a strong character, but throughout the movie, he gains recognition as one of the MCU’s most potent new heroes.
Following a clear demonstration of Shang-Chi’s exceptional fighting abilities, the movie continues with Shang-Chi acquiring his father’s mystical artifact known as the Ten Rings. In this series, the Ten Rings are powerful cosmic items that bestow their bearer with enhanced strength, longevity, and energy manipulation capabilities, including the ability to control these energies telekinetically. The combination of Shang-Chi’s innate talent and his use of the Ten Rings solidly places him among the most powerful new characters in the franchise.
7. The Eternals
2021’s film, “Eternals,” introduced a fresh aspect to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), weaving a grand cosmic tale that traversed thousands of years. The titular team, each endowed with extraordinary abilities, were regarded as deities by early humans due to their longevity. Although not all of them survived the film’s events, the Eternals remain indisputably among the MCU’s most potent characters.
The unique team dynamic of the Eternals significantly boosts their power, with each member showcasing extraordinary abilities on their own. When they unite, they can prevent the Emergence of a Celestial, essentially annihilating one of the most formidable races in the universe. While being able to face off against a Celestial alone is impressive, their seemingly endless lifespans and other exceptional talents make the Eternals stand out as among the most indispensable heroes in the Multiverse Saga.
6. Wiccan
In the Marvel series “Agatha All Along”, Joe Lock’s character was initially introduced as Teen, but his real identity turned out to be a key plot twist. As it unfolded, we discovered he was none other than Billy Maximoff, the reborn son of the Scarlet Witch. This revelation not only unveiled him as the character Wiccan, but also brought about significant events, such as the disclosure that he had inadvertently showcased one of the most potent magical feats in the franchise’s history.
In “Agatha All Along,” we don’t explore Billy Maximoff’s magical abilities in great detail, but it’s evident that he possesses one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s strongest magic powers. His raw magical ability is impressive, making him a valuable asset and a possible key player in the Young Avengers team. Interestingly, we didn’t start learning about Wiccan until “WandaVision,” which came after “Avengers: Endgame.” This means that Billy is another powerful character to be introduced post-“Endgame.
5. Reed Richards
From my perspective as a fan, it’s noticeable how Reed Richards has been somewhat absent from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) thus far. But, it appears that this is about to change significantly. You might recall that Reed made a brief appearance in the MCU through a Multiversal cameo in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.” Given his immense power, he can be considered one of the newest and potentially most powerful heroes joining the MCU roster.
Although John Krasinski’s portrayal of Reed was unfortunately taken by the Scarlet Witch, it seems that Pedro Pascal is gearing up to step into a more substantial role within the MCU.
As a die-hard Marvel fan, I can’t help but feel exhilarated about the upcoming debut of Reed Richards in the MCU. Known for his unique ability to stretch, Reed has always been a game-changer in the Marvel Universe. His powers, filled with unexpected and groundbreaking applications, have earned him a significant role among Marvel’s mightiest heroes and leaders.
If we see just a fraction of this influence in Pedro Pascal’s portrayal of Reed Richards, it’s safe to say that he will be one of the MCU’s pivotal figures during the Multiverse Saga. I can hardly wait!
4. Moon Knight
In this rephrased version:
Moon Knight, portrayed by Oscar Isaac, first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) through a series on Disney+ that shares his name. Immediately, he demonstrated himself to be one of the franchise’s most formidable new superheroes. The character of Marc Spector, played by Isaac, offered an intriguing exploration of dissociative identity disorder, positioning Moon Knight as both a captivating figure and a powerful hero. The series also explored Moon Knight’s powers and backstory, reinforcing his significance within the MCU.
Moon Knight’s powers derive from Khonshu, the Egyptian deity associated with the moon. This connection grants him extraordinary abilities, placing him among the franchise’s mightiest hero characters. His enhanced strength, speed, and resilience are complemented by god-like powers in various aspects. Despite being a complex character with anti-hero traits, Moon Knight is a formidable addition to the Multiverse Saga’s roster of powerful newcomers.
3. Hercules
Although Hercules hasn’t had a full-fledged appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) yet, he officially debuted within the franchise. In the post-credits scene of Thor: Love and Thunder, the MCU hinted that Hercules would initially clash with Thor, followed by likely taking on his traditional role as a key Marvel character and eventual Avenger. Brett Goldstein’s introduction as Hercules was brief, but it’s already clear he’s one of the strongest newcomers in the MCU.
In the comics, Hercules is one of the mightiest Avengers. The film “Love and Thunder” didn’t delve deep into his character, but it did confirm that he is Zeus’ son, a fact which hints at an extraordinary level of power, perhaps even rivaling or surpassing Thor’s. Though he hasn’t fully debuted as a hero in the MCU post-“Endgame”, indications suggest that Hercules will prove to be incredibly powerful.
2. G’iah
2023’s “Secret Invasion” might have been one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s less successful releases, but it managed to shake up the franchise by altering its power dynamics in some ways. The series unfolded around Nick Fury’s efforts to quell a Skrull uprising, with a handful of Skrulls loyal to him among them. One notable character from this group was G’iah, who eventually gained the powers of various Avengers through the Harvest, making her a formidable force.
From a passionate movie buff’s perspective, I must say that G’iah’s unparalleled skillset places her among the most formidable solo entities in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Her selfless actions in halting Gravik serve as a testament to her heroic nature, though whether we’ll see her again remains uncertain. Regardless, the potential for her to wield the combined might of every powerful Avenger is nothing short of breathtaking, making her an extraordinary recruit to the MCU roster.
1. Sentry
Stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe through “Thunderbolts,” I’ve come to appreciate the introduction of a fresh team, yet what truly captivated me was the emergence of one of Marvel’s mightiest heroes – the enigmatic Sentry. In this film, I found myself drawn to a character who initially seemed like a villain, but as events unfolded, I was left in awe at the power he wielded. With his long-anticipated live-action debut, Sentry didn’t just meet expectations; he exceeded them. His immense power was swiftly demonstrated, making him an essential figure in the post-“Endgame” era of the Marvel universe.
After the incident involving Thunderbolts, there’s been some doubt cast on Sentry’s abilities, but it’s clear he’ll reappear in the storyline. His extraordinary strength, resilience, and telekinetic prowess make him a formidable character, one that the Avengers would greatly benefit from in their upcoming adventures. It’s hard to argue against the possibility that Sentry could become the MCU’s strongest Avenger yet, significantly altering the power dynamics within the franchise as he enters the Multiverse Saga.
