1000-Lb. Sisters’ Amy Slaton Pleads Guilty to Simple Possession

As I delve into the vibrant lives of these extraordinary individuals, it’s impossible not to be moved by their resilience and the bonds that tie them together. The Slaton sisters, Tammy and Amy, along with their brothers Chris and Michael, have experienced highs and lows, laughter and tears, but through it all, they’ve remained a tight-knit family.

There is a development in Amy Slaton’s legal journey.

After the actress from “1000-Lb. Sisters” was arrested at a Tennessee zoo in September, Amy has admitted guilt for simple possession as part of an agreement presented in the Crockett County courthouse, Tennessee, according to court documents obtained by TopMob News.

The records indicate that the allegations against Amy, who has children Gage Deon Halterman (4 years old) and Glenn Allen Halterman (2 years old) with her former husband Michael Halterman, for child abuse and child endangerment have been dropped.

As reported by Action News 5 from the courtroom, Judge Paul Conley decided that Amy and Brian Scott Lovvorn, who were arrested together, would serve two years under supervised probation. This means they won’t spend time in prison. Alongside paying a $1,000 fine and undergoing an alcohol and drug assessment, as stated by the source, Amy is also prohibited from having any interaction with the Tennessee Safari Park Zoo.

TopMob News has reached out to law enforcement and TLC for comment but has not yet heard back.

Police apprehended Amy and Brian in September following a phone call reporting that Amy was attacked by a camel at the zoo in Alamo, Tennessee.

Upon their arrival, the deputies from the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department were met with strange smells emanating from the visitor’s automobile.

The statement also noted, “The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.”

I was completely blown away to learn, in a recent update, that it appears Amy had some illicit substances on her, specifically marijuana and illegal mushrooms, openly stashed in her car! This revelation came before she and Brian were apprehended. Incredible, isn’t it?

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share an update based on recent information. It appears that my colleague and co-star on our beloved TLC series, Tammy Slaton, visited the zoo to collect Amy’s children. This is according to a reliable law enforcement source who spoke with People magazine.

On September 3, after being detained, Amy and Brian were freed on a $10,000 bond and were observed holding hands as they were driven away by Amy’s brother Chris Combs, as reported by People’s law enforcement contact.

Despite avoiding public comments concerning her arrest and legal issues, Amy has in the past openly acknowledged the support she receives from Tammy during tough periods. This dynamic is frequently depicted on the show “1000-Lb. Sisters”.

In a conversation with TopMob News last December 2023, Amy revealed that this season on the show, Tammy allowed her and her children to live with her. Tammy provided us with a secure home when we needed it, and all my siblings have been supportive, helping me with whatever I required.
