1000-Lb. Sisters’ Tammy Slaton Addresses Claim She Mistreats Family

As I delve into the vibrant journey of Tammy Slaton, I can’t help but be captivated by her resilience and spirit. From the highs of love and laughter to the lows of loss and struggle, she’s been on quite a rollercoaster ride.

Tammy Slaton is hoping fans can understand her side of the story.

In the November 19th episode of the show “1000-Lb. Sisters,” the main star faced criticism from viewers who felt uncomfortable with her exchange with sister Amy Slaton, during which she referred to her as “an ass.” However, the 38-year-old quickly clarified this situation.

In her Instagram Stories post on December 5th, Tammy expressed a desire for people to confront her and criticize her treatment of her family. She added that perhaps they should consider what happens behind the scenes, implying that there might be things said to upset her that lead to her reacting as she does when the cameras aren’t rolling.

The reality television personality mentioned that although viewers might think they’re capturing everything about their life on-screen, a significant amount actually remains unfilmed.

Tammy went on to say, “I’m not consistently portrayed as the villain in this situation, and I’m not seeking to be seen as a victim either. Instead, I hope that people will understand the truth before jumping to conclusions and making assumptions.

On the very same day, she shared a video on her Instagram that was directed towards her followers, expressing, “It seems like everyone dislikes me at this moment.

Yet, Tammy felt compelled to justify her actions toward Amy, as there were circumstances leading up to her conduct that needed clarification.

“You all gotta hear me out, please,” she said. “I’m not trying to bash Amy, I love Amy to death.”

As per Tammy, during the filming of the scene, Amy was dating her former boyfriend, Kevin, whom she had separated from earlier in the year. It appears that Tammy did not hold Kevin in high regard, as she expressed this opinion to her Instagram followers by stating, “Everyone knows he wasn’t a good person.

It is asserted that Amy was intoxicated while shooting, and her immature behavior was causing Tammy distress. Yet, it’s understood that this doesn’t justify Tammy’s subsequent response.

Tammy explained, “I apologize for how I acted towards her and the hurtful words I used. However, it’s true that she could be reckless and seemed not to care about much. At times, it was really embarrassing for me.

She ended the video with an apology to her sister, saying that while she loves her dearly she had “to be honest.”

And despite the apologies, fans were still divided.

One Instagram user commented, “Tammy, it’s important for you to know that we don’t dislike you. Instead, we admire you and feel incredibly proud of your achievements. It’s normal for sisters to have disagreements – nothing more should be read into that.

However, another fan had a different approach, writing, “Tammy we love you but sometimes you get it wrong. Those are your sisters. You should be willing to move towards reconciliation to resolve differences.”

Ever since the show “1000-Lb. Sisters” premiered in 2020, Tammy has been open and candid about various aspects of her life, such as her relationship with her sister, her battles with mental health challenges, and alcohol issues.
