11 Games Are Leaving PS Plus Extra, Premium Next Month

As an avid gamer with a penchant for exploring diverse game worlds and a calendar filled with festivities, I find myself in a peculiar situation as the Christmas break rolls around. The Last Chance to Play section of my beloved PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium has been updated, like a grim reaper announcing the impending departure of some cherished companions from my digital gaming hall. The games departing on Tuesday, 14th January 2025, will no longer be playable via PS Plus, regardless of whether I’ve redeemed or downloaded them.

Over the upcoming Christmas break, the “Last Chance to Play” section in both PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium has been refreshed to help you decide which PS5 and PS4 games are worth playing before they’re taken off the service. Enjoy these games while also savoring your brussel sprouts!

On Tuesday, 14th January 2025, the aforementioned games will no longer be accessible through PS Plus, regardless of whether they’ve been redeemed or downloaded.

  • Resident Evil 2 (PS5, PS4)
  • Hardspace: Shipbreaker (PS5, PS4)
  • Just Cause 3 (PS4)
  • Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection (PS4)
  • Legend of Mana (PS4)
  • Secret of Mana (PS4)
  • Dragon Ball FighterZ (PS5, PS4)
  • Life Is Strange: Before the Storm (PS4)
  • Life Is Strange (PS4)
  • Just Cause 4 (PS4)
  • Pure Hold’em (PS4)

For a typical player, the majority of these games can be completed within about 20 hours or fewer. However, if you have Legend of Mana or Secret of Mana on hand, you might want to prioritize them as they are significantly longer games. It’s best to start playing them sooner rather than later if you don’t want to leave them in your game backlog for too long.
