Once more, we’re rounding up all of the big new PS5 and PS4 games coming out this week.
This week has been relatively quiet compared to the large ones we’ve had recently. The most significant event is the full launch of Forza Horizon 5, although it might also be worth mentioning visual novel Cooking Companions or the upcoming indie game Despelote.
Here are all the new PS5 and PS4 games coming out.
New PS5, PS4 Games This Week (28th-4th May)
- Cooking Companions (29th April – PS5, PS4): “Deep in the woods of the Tatras Mountains, supplies dwindle and flood waters are rising. It’s up to you to keep spirits high and make the most of your survival skills. Will you butter up the right person? Or will you wind up on the chopping block?”
- Forza Horizon 5 (29th April – PS5): “Your Ultimate Horizon Adventure awaits! Explore the vibrant and ever-evolving open world landscapes of Mexico with limitless, fun driving action in hundreds of the world’s greatest cars.”
- FragPunk (29th April – PS5): “No two rounds of FragPunk are ever the same. Discover over 100 Shard Cards with an activatable selection that changes every round creating new and unique combinations that create infinite possibilities! Cards can amplify your jump height, reverse the roles of attackers and defenders, engulf your bullets in flame or turn them into chain lightning, and even may resurrect you and your team!”
- My Vet Practice in the Zoo (29th April – PS5): “Many exciting tasks await you in the zoo, and some of the cute residents need your help. From clumsy young animals to curious penguins and powerful elephants – they all need nursing back to health! Examine the patients carefully, figure out what’s wrong, and give them the treatments they need. Pack up your vet’s bag and off you go – they’re already expecting you!”
- SubwaySim 2 (29th April – PS5): “Explore the three most picturesque underground lines in Germany! The Berlin U1/U3 and the Hamburg U3 are waiting for you. Immerse yourself in everyday life in the two German metropolises and discover famous sights such as Hamburg’s harbour or Berlin’s Oberbaum Bridge.”
- Blazing Trail (30th April – PS5): “Blazing Trail is an isometric pixel art shooter that requires daring on-the-fly strategy. Use machine guns, missiles and laser power-ups to take down enemy soldiers, demolish buildings and watchtowers, destroy gates, shoot down aircrafts and face off against huge bosses across 7 sprawling combat zones.”
- MotoGP 25 (30th April – PS5): “Join the official Championship and step into the boots of your favourite riders to master the most iconic bikes and tracks of the season. Live the most realistic race thrills ever thanks to Unreal Engine 5, MotoGP™ Stewards ensuring fair battles, and an overhauled sound design, recorded on-site from official bikes.”
- Cato: Buttered Cat (1st May – PS5): “CATO: Buttered Cat is an adorable puzzle platformer, inspired by the buttered-cat paradox meme: Cats always land on their feet, and toast always lands buttered side down. By strapping a piece of buttered toast to a cat’s back, you create a paradox that results in an infinitely spinning, floating butter-cat perpetual motion machine!”
- Despelote (1st May – PS5): “Despelote is a soccer game about people. Get immersed in the streets and parks of Quito through the eyes and ears of eight year old Julián. Dribble, pass and shoot your soccer ball around town, and see what happens when you kick it someone’s way. Feel the city change as Ecuador comes closer than ever to qualifying for the World Cup.”
- Kiborg (1st May – PS5): “KIBORG is a relentless rogue-lite beat’em up where you enhance your body with new cybernetic implants each run. You’ve been sent to the worst prison in the galaxy for crimes you didn’t commit. Death won’t provide an escape, but a violent reality show may offer a way out.”
- Peglin (1st May – PS5): “The dragons have been popping peglins and stealing all of your gold for as long as you can remember. Enough is enough. It’s time to venture through the woods, conquer the fortress, and delve into the heart of the dragon’s lair to take back what’s yours and teach those dragons a lesson.”
