Nowadays, playing games locally, side by side (couch co-op), which was once commonplace around two decades ago, is more frequently considered a desirable feature rather than an expectation. The unique pleasure derived from sharing a physical space with others while gaming cannot be matched by online multiplayer experiences. Though couch co-op may not be as prevalent, some developers incorporate this option through updates, and the most exceptional games make teamwork an integral part of their gameplay mechanics.
