Whitney Purvis is speaking her truth.
Two weeks following a former star of “16 and Pregnant” announcing her 16-year-old son, Weston Gosa Jr., had passed away, she claimed that her ex, Weston Gosa, prevented her and her family from attending the funeral on June 14th by reportedly providing incorrect information about the event’s time.
In a June 18 Facebook post, Purvis stated that only those on a specific guest list were permitted to attend the funeral. Regrettably, neither I nor my close friends and family were included on this list. I have multiple witnesses who overheard the funeral home confirming that I was not on the list, along with themselves.
Regardless of when I arrived, I wasn’t going to be allowed in,” the former reality star asserted. “To make things even more absurd, they tried to twist the story and claim I was two hours late for his funeral, but I knew it started at two. Frankly, that’s preposterous! Who would show up two hours late? I was informed it was at four!
In a recent incident, a 33-year-old woman named Gosa, who is the mother of an 11-year-old boy named River, accused her ex of limiting attendance at their late relative’s funeral to only immediate family members like her mom and uncles. This restriction came as a surprise since he had reportedly invited over one hundred people according to the allegations.
She wrote, “I wasn’t permitted to bring any emotional reinforcements with me, and prior to being informed by Big Weston, I had already extended invitations to people who were significant in Little Weston’s upbringing.
She went on, “That’s a truly cruel thing to do! Can’t we simply rejoice in our affection for Weston instead? Why must you use this moment to cause me further pain?
According to Purvis, even though she attempted to reconcile with Gosa regarding their shared custody of their sons, he was unwilling. She further mentioned, “One might assume, given the tragedy of little Weston’s passing, we could set aside our disputes, but alas, it continues to be dramatic.
She went on, expressing her distress. “This is a heartbreaking and seemingly unsolvable predicament,” she said. “Little Weston shouldn’t find himself caught between us, forced to pick sides or made to believe that loving his mother is unacceptable. He deserves parents who are far superior, even I admit it.
According to Gosa, he informed Purvis that the viewing was set for 2 p.m., with the service starting at 4 p.m. He claimed that his ex-partner arrived at 4:15 p.m., despite being on the guest list, she arrived too late to enter the chapel. Gosa also shared with the media outlet that some of Purvis’ family members, who were punctual, including her mother and uncle, managed to attend the service.
TopMob News has reached out to Gosa and Purvis for comment and has not yet heard back.
