As a seasoned fashion enthusiast with years of experience under my belt, I must say that this year’s Emmy Awards red carpet was nothing short of spectacular! The stars certainly didn’t disappoint in their dazzling ensembles.

Christine Baranski attended the September 15th event at the Peacock Theater and L.A. Live with her actress daughter, Lily Cowles, as her companion for the evening. This was the first time they had walked a red carpet together since nine years ago.

Cowles is one of the two children born to actress Baranski and her late spouse, Matthew Cowles, who passed away in 2014. Additionally, she is the mother of a daughter named Isabel.
The alumna from ‘The Good Fight’ attributes her role as the old-money socialite Agnes van Rhijn in ‘The Gilded Age’ for helping her maintain a strong bond with her partner.
In 2022, she shared with Town & Country that when she first encountered her late spouse, he was a captivating actor. We performed an Ibsen play together, and he arrived at rehearsals sporting a sleek black motorcycle jacket, peculiar glasses, and shaggy blonde hair. To me, he seemed incredibly exotic. He proposed a motorcycle ride home, and I thought it was both dangerous and alluring. It wasn’t until much later that I discovered he was actually raised in the upscale neighborhood of Park Avenue and 72nd Street.
Later on, she explained, ‘I found myself deeply engrossed in studying the era known as the Gilded Age. It was then that I came to understand the extensive connections within my late husband’s family. Should you choose to investigate these individuals, you may find yourself spiraling down a fascinating rabbit hole.’
