As a die-hard fan with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the latest addition to Xbox Game Pass has sent me into a frenzy! The release of the new DLC for Persona 3 Reload is like the cherry on top of an already fantastic cake. Being able to access this content absolutely free as part of my Xbox Game Pass subscription is simply mind-blowing, especially considering how highly rated the game is.
2024 saw some major titles on the Xbox Game Pass platform, which includes PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. Among these, one game recently received an enhancement through a new DLC release. Just as the base game, this DLC is free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, provided they continue to have access to the base game via the subscription service. The length of time the base game will be available isn’t certain, but currently, it remains accessible with no indication that this may change soon.
The game under discussion was released on February 2 by developers Atlus and Sega (who also published it). This title is among the highest-rated games of the year, with a score of 87. For those who may not immediately recognize it, we’re talking about Persona 3 Reload. As of today, its latest DLC has been released. Remarkably, this downloadable content is accessible to Xbox Game Pass subscribers. The new DLC, titled Episode Aigis, won’t be available in the western regions until September 10. However, it has already begun distribution in various countries including Japan and New Zealand.
Episode Aigis is the third downloadable content for the remake of Persona 3, and it’s particularly notable for a showdown with Joker, the main character from Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal, in an epic battle. Moreover, this additional content delves deeper into the game’s storyline after the ending.
In the DLC titled “Episode Aigis,” unique to “Persona 3 Reload,” players will face a tough test against a mysterious masked character in a hidden boss battle, which incorporates themes from “Persona 5 Royal.” This challenging encounter is part of the larger “Episode Aigis: The Answer” expansion pack, a significant post-ending downloadable content that deepens the story of “Persona 3 Reload” and serves as an epilogue to the game’s narrative.
