Paddington in Peru – February 14
In the upcoming chapter of our beloved talking bear’s tale, we find Paddington embarking on a trip to Peru to meet his aunt, Aunt Lucy. Originally scheduled for release in January, this film is now set to hit theaters simultaneously with Captain America: Brave New World. Ben Whishaw lends his voice once more to our titular hero in Paddington in Peru, while Hugh Bonneville reprises his role as Henry Brown. Joining the cast for this adventure is Emily Mortimer, portraying Mary Brown, and Imelda Staunton steps into the role of Aunt Lucy.
Snow White – March 21
Disney’s live-action version of the classic tale “Snow White” has just unveiled its first trailer, generating excitement among fans as they eagerly await Rachel Zegler’s portrayal of the renowned princess. The film, helmed by Marc Webb, will incorporate at least one new melody along with the 11 original songs from the 1937 animated movie. Gal Gadot takes on the role of the wicked queen, while Andrew Burnap, Patrick Page, Ansu Kabia, and Colin Michael Carmichael are also part of the ensemble cast.
A Minecraft Movie – April 4
For the very first time, a big-screen adaptation titled “A Minecraft Movie” will bring the widely beloved video game to life. Notable stars such as Jack Black, Jennifer Coolidge, Jason Momoa, Kate McKinnon, Danielle Brooks, and others have joined the cast under the direction of Jared Hess, who is renowned for his work on “Napoleon Dynamite“. The story revolves around a band of misfits being drawn into the pixelated world of “Minecraft“, where they must embark on a quest with the guidance of a skilled craftsman to eventually escape.
Sinners – April 18
In a departure from his usual collaborations, director Ryan Coogler is set to unveil an exciting new movie titled “Sinners“. This film has fans abuzz due to its star-studded cast led by Michael B. Jordan of both “Black Panther” and “Creed”, who portrays twin brothers confronting a horrific evil in their home city. Joining Jordan are Marvel Universe actors Hailee Steinfeld and Wunmi Mosaku, along with Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, Lola Kirke, and Li Jun Li.
Thunderbolts* – May 2
In the year 2025, the sequel to two other Marvel Cinematic Universe films set to be released is titled “Thunderbolts“. This movie brings together Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, David Harbour’s Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen’s Ghost, Wyatt Russell’s John Walker, and Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster to form a team. Directed by Jake Schreier, the film centers around this group of anti-heroes as they undertake a mission orchestrated by Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ character, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Newcomer Lewis Pullman will join the Marvel universe for the first time as Sentry in this production.
Final Destination: Bloodlines – May 16
In 2025, we can expect the latest installment of the “Final Destination” series, titled “Final Destination: Bloodlines“. After the release of “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” in 2023, the popular Tom Cruise-led series will continue with its final installment titled “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” in 2025, with Christopher McQuarrie returning as director. Joining Tom Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt on this mission are Vanessa Kirby, Hayley Atwell, Hannah Waddingham, Simon Pegg, Angela Bassett, Pom Klementieff, Katy O’Brian, Nick Offerman, Indira Varma, Shea Whigham, Esai Morales, and others.
Karate Kid: Legends – May 30
As a dedicated fan of action movies, I’m thrilled to share that Jackie Chan will once again embody the masterful martial artist, Mr. Han, in “Karate Kid: Legends”, the latest installment of this beloved franchise. Joining him is none other than Ralph Macchio reprising his role as Daniel LaRusso. New additions to the cast include Ben Wang, Joshua Jackson, Ming-Na Wen, and Aramis Knight. This new movie, “Karate Kid: Legends”, revolves around Li Fong, a prodigious kung fu practitioner portrayed by Ben Wang, who leaves Beijing, China for New York City. In his quest, he decides to compete in a karate tournament, eventually encountering Mr. Han and Daniel along the way.
Ballerina – June 6
In a new development for the John Wick series, the first spin-off titled “Ballerina” is set to premiere in 2025. The movie features Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, a skilled assassin who has been educated in the customs of the Ruska Roma. As she embarks on a quest for vengeance following the murder of her family, Eve crosses paths with Keanu Reeves’ character, John Wick. Len Wiseman, known for his work on the Underworld films, is directing “Ballerina”. In addition to Reeves, the star-studded cast includes Norman Reedus, Anjelica Huston, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Gabriel Byrne, and the late Lance Reddick.
Elio – June 13
Disney-Pixar’s upcoming significant production is titled “Elio“, a tale revolving around a youthful space aficionado setting off on an interstellar adventure. Along the way, Elio encounters various alien lifeforms and traverses through galaxies, ultimately uncovering his true identity. The role of Elio will be brought to life by Yonas Kibreab, who is known for portraying Obi-Wan Kenobi. Additionally, Zoe Saldaña, Jameela Jamil, Brad Garrett, and Shirley Henderson are among the talented cast members.
How to Train Your Dragon – June 13
In the upcoming live-action adaptation of “How to Train Your Dragon,” you’ll find familiar characters and a storyline that mirrors the 2010 animated film. The role of Hiccup, the dragon-hunting Viking who forms an unlikely bond with a young dragon, will be played by Mason Thames. The latest trailer for the film has sparked excitement among horror enthusiasts due to its chilling adaptation of a 121-year-old poem by Rudyard Kipling.
M3GAN 2.0 – June 27
In the year 2025, the menacing doll from the movie M3GAN makes a comeback in M3GAN 2.0. Gerard Johnstone will once again take the director’s chair, while Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Amie Donald, Jenna Davis, Brian Jordan Alvarez, and Jen Van Epps rejoin the cast. To this ensemble, Jermaine Clement, Ivanna Sakhno, Timm Sharp, and Aristotle Athari have been added for M3GAN 2.0. The plot of this horror sequel is being tightly guarded.
Jurassic World Rebirth – July 2
The Jurassic World series will introduce a fresh cast and set of characters for its upcoming film titled “Jurassic World: Rebirth“. 2025 is shaping up to be a blockbuster year for me, as I eagerly anticipate the reincarnation of the legendary DC comic-book icon, Superman, directed by James Gunn. In this new iteration, David Corenswet will step into the boots of Clark Kent and don the famous red cape, while Rachel Brosnahan makes her entrance as Lois Lane. Nicholas Hoult takes on the role of Lex Luthor, with additional cast members like Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Eli Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, and Wendell Pierce as Perry White. The first glimpse of the film was recently unveiled in a thrilling trailer, leaving DC enthusiasts like me on the edge of our seats for the upcoming blockbuster.

The Conjuring: Last Rites – September 5
In the year 2025, the chilling tale of “The Conjuring” series comes to an end with “The Conjuring: Last Rites”. 2016’s beloved animated film “Zootopia” is set to have its follow-up, with the release of “Zootopia 2” scheduled for 2025. Jason Bateman will reprise his role as the fox Nick Wilde, while Ginnifer Goodwin will once again bring rabbit cop Judy Hopps to life. In this new adventure, our two main characters must join forces to tackle a fresh, perilous case that will test their detective abilities to the limit. Ke Huy Quan is set to portray a villain, and Shakira will reprise her role as Gazelle.
Avatar: Fire and Ash – December 19
The James Cameron-directed Avatar series, known for its massive box office success, is set to release a third film titled “Avatar: Fire and Ash” in late 2025. Following the release of “Avatar: The Way of Water” in 2022, which ranks as the third highest-grossing movie worldwide, “Fire and Ash” will continue the tale of Jake Sully and his family on the mystical planet Pandora. In this installment, they’ll encounter a new tribe of Na’vi living near volcanoes and face off against General Ardmore (Edie Falco), Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang), and their Earth-born colonizers once more. The plot will also revolve around Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) mourning the loss of their son, with several other familiar characters like Ronal (Kate Winslet), Selfridge (Giovanni Ribisi), Kiri (Sigourney Weaver), Dr. Garvin (Jermaine Clement), Tonowari (Cliff Curtis), Spider (Jack Champion), Tsireya (Bailey Bass), Lo’ak (Britain Dalton), Tuk (Trinity Jo-Li Bliss), Neteyem (Jamie Flatters), and more making appearances.
