Two years following the initial publication of Eiichiro Oda’s manga series “One Piece,” Toei Animation introduced an anime adaptation, capturing Luffy’s grand voyage on screen. Since then, both the manga and anime have been broadcast weekly for more than two decades, introducing numerous characters along the way and progressing the adventure up to the Final Saga. Among these new characters is Nico Robin, who joined Luffy’s crew approximately a hundred chapters into their travels and has remained with them since. Upon entering the Grand Line, the Straw Hat Pirates made their first port of call at Whiskey Peak, where they encountered Princess Vivi and learned about Crocodile’s tyranny over her kingdom, Alabasta.
Previously, Robin was known as Miss All Sunday and served as Crocodile’s second-in-command. Despite being perceived as a villain, her actions were driven not by loyalty to the Warlord, but rather by her insatiable curiosity and need to survive. She performed some actions that raised questions. Nowadays, she is cherished as a crew member, but her initial encounter with the Straw Hats was far from friendly. In her introduction, it would have been hard to predict that she would not only join the crew, but also become one of the most adored characters in the entire series.

Robin Debuted in One Piece Episode 67
On April 29th, Toei Animation’s official account posted a celebratory message marking the day when Robin first met the team. Robin made her debut in Episode 67, where she destroyed Igaram’s ship. Intriguingly, Igaram had disguised himself as Princess Vivi to mislead the enemies. However, Luffy and the others were deceived into thinking that Robin was fooled by this trick, when in reality, her reaction was quite different from what they imagined.
Apart from keeping Igaram living without arousing Crocodile’s suspicions and offering help to Luffy by providing him an Eternal Log Pose for Alabasta, Robin does all this while maintaining secrecy. However, Luffy turns down her gracious gestures, eventually visiting multiple islands before reaching Alabasta. Before officially becoming part of the crew, Robin actually rescued Luffy’s life. After Crocodile was defeated, she then joined the Straw Hat Pirates and has since been one of their most trusted companions.
Robin Is One of the Most Beloved Characters in the Show
Robin is highly admired not just for her physical attractiveness but also for her rich character, creativity, and writing skills. Her heart-wrenching past was unveiled during the Enies Lobby Arc, which has made her a beloved character among fans. Despite surviving for over twenty years through countless hardships, she selflessly gave up her life to protect Luffy and his companions. Naturally, the crew wouldn’t stand idly by as the Marines planned to execute her. In fact, Luffy went so far as to declare war against the World Government in a valiant attempt to save her.
Apart from her physical strength, Robin stands out among the Straw Hat crew as she possesses an extraordinary talent – reading Poneglyphs. These are ancient texts etched into massive stones that hold truths about a forgotten era, known as the Void Century, which has been expunged from recorded history. To find Laugh Tale, Luffy needs to discover four Road Poneglyphs first. Each of these reveals a specific location. By deciphering all four locations, the central point on the map will indicate where Laughtale is hidden.
