As a long-time resident of Walford, I must say that this week’s happenings have left me quite bewildered. It seems like every corner of our beloved square is brimming with drama!
Next week, the Six will be under the control of the malevolent Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), as they encounter a terrifying Halloween ordeal.
In other locations, Jean Slater (played by Gillian Wright) develops a fresh connection as her partner Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) strengthens his bond with Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth), while Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) stands by Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace).
Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) struggles and Martin Fowler (James Bye) is floored by some news.

1. Nish Panesar uncovers the truth about last Christmas
As Nish listens in on a secret conversation between Kathy and Suki Panesar, his former wife, he begins to grow wary of The Six. Later, when he overhears them attempting to recall their stories from Christmas, he uncovers their covert gathering.
Nish is determined to get to the truth, but the women insist they have nothing to hide.
However, over the past year, they’ve been hiding their part in the murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), but now it appears that they will soon be exposed beyond any doubt!
Nish is adamant about accompanying everyone to the police station, since he along with The Six are due for another conversation with DCI Arthur (Ian Burfield) regarding the incidents that took place on Christmas Day.
Afterward, Nish heads back to Suki’s residence, suspecting she’s concealing something. It doesn’t take much time before he challenges her about the information he has uncovered…
2. The Six face Halloween terror from evil Nish
As per Nish’s guidance, I found myself extending invitations to the other women under a veil of deception. However, once they discovered that our shared secret was now at risk, the tension in the room began to mount.
Instead of leaving things to chance, Suki decides to act independently and sends everyone else away. However, it becomes evident that Nish cannot be swayed with gifts or money. Later on, Suki starts refusing calls from Stacey Slater as she braces herself for an unwelcome return – Nish is planning to come back and live with her again!
Meanwhile, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) confers with Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) over a topic concerning Nish. Simultaneously, Avani is posing challenging queries to Nish. Eventually, Nish calls upon The Six to gather at The Queen Vic for a meeting with him.
After closing, they await their fate as Nish holds their futures in his hands.
An eerie image shows Kathy, Stacey, Suki, Denise, Linda and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) facing Nish inside the pub, but how will they all fare?
3. Jean Slater bonds with Kojo Asare as Harvey Monroe seeks support elsewhere
Jean feels deeply troubled for discussing Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) with social services, and a thoughtless remark from Kathy aggravates her.
In another wording, Stacey manages to persuade Jean to remain silent, yet she feels embarrassed when she witnesses an intense discussion among Alfie, Kat, and Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer).
Alfie offers words of comfort to Jean regarding her actions, and there’s been some tension between him and Kat. However, after a while, he consoles her about the latest happenings, and the duo makes their way to The Vic together.
However, things become overwhelming for Jean as Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) delves into gossip, inadvertently causing Jean to offend Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho).
1) After guidance from Kathy, Harvey attempts to prepare a meal for Jean. However, Jean chooses to dine with Kojo at the pub as an apology, leaving Harvey waiting for her at home. Subsequently, Harvey goes to talk to Kathy. (Paraphrased)
Kojo joins forces with Jean, and they both share an emotional conversation, while Stacey manages to persuade Harvey to show leniency towards Jean, which ultimately leads to their reconciliation after a meaningful act by Jean.
Kojo unexpectedly shows up, bearing a present for Jean, causing an interruption. Harvey finds reasons to leave once more and see Kathy. Following a successful week, Elaine requests that Kojo don the costume of his brother George Knight (Colin Salmon), which he happily agrees to do.
As for Jean and Harvey, are they drifting further apart?
4. Avani Nandra-Hart puts on a brave face
It’s evident that Avani is still grappling with the aftermath of the incident from last week where her older boyfriend, Mason, angrily pushed her out of his vehicle and abandoned her, leaving her hurt and on her own.
In a disturbing turn of events, Ravi Gulati, played by Aaron Thiara, ignited a fierce conflict after venting his anger violently towards an innocent man named Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman), putting him in grave danger.
In the meantime, the events that occurred have left Avani deeply distressed and traumatized. Will her family be able to provide her with the necessary support?
5. Martin Fowler shocked as the market is at risk
Martin’s shocked when Honey (Emma Barton) and Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) share that the market they’re accustomed to might undergo a transformation or development.
The trio swiftly convene an emergency discussion with the market vendors at The Vic, exploring the potential elimination of the market and the Square gardens.
In simpler terms, Ian Beale (played by Adam Woodyatt) is called upon to discuss the council’s plans. However, tension arises when the community discovers that Junior Knight (portrayed by Micah Balfour) may be chosen for the upcoming project.
So, just what are the council planning?
