As a seasoned Emmerdale enthusiast with over three decades of soap opera marathon under my belt, I must say this upcoming week promises to be quite the rollercoaster ride! The village is abuzz with drama and intrigue, much like an old-fashioned Victorian melodrama.
Next week, a significant event for Ella Forster (played by Paula Lane) triggers unrest in the village. However, we’re left wondering, what implications will this have on Ella herself?
In other places, the unpleasant actions of Jai Sharma (played by Chris Bisson) persist towards his estranged wife, Laurel Thomas (portrayed by Charlotte Bellamy).
In my latest cinematic experience, I found myself drawn into the captivating world of “Emmerdale.” As a reviewer, I was particularly moved by the poignant performance of Will Taylor, portrayed by Dean Andrews. His character’s concern over daughter Dawn Fletcher, played exceptionally well by Olivia Bromley, was palpable and heartfelt.
Finally, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) has a surprise for granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill).

1. Ella Forster attacks Wendy Posner
In simpler terms, on the eve of her 30th birthday, Ella is taken aback when Mandy (played by Lisa Riley) expresses birthday well-wishes ahead of time. However, Ella becomes nervous when Mandy proposes a complete makeover, complete with before and after photos.
Afterward, an upset Ella breaks down when she discovers pictures of herself uploaded on the hair salon’s social media account. From a distance, Liam Cavanagh (played by Jonny McPherson) witnesses as Ella destroys her birthday cake and storms away to the footbridge.
Easing Ella’s distress, reassuring Liam steps near, proposing they attend the unexpected birthday bash together. Grateful for his company, Ella tries her best to relish the party atmosphere, with everyone gathering around to support her.
As Ella unwinds and feels a tender emotion from Liam’s thoughtful gesture of gifting her a tiny star necklace, tranquility is abruptly disrupted when Gary, June’s relative, unexpectedly shows up, ruining the peaceful scene.
In a calm yet assertive manner, Gary approaches a trembling Ella, presenting her with a photograph of Joanne. As her world crumbles around her, Ella disintegrates, hastily exiting the scene. Pursuing a distraught and terrified Ella, Gary eventually catches up to her, causing her to stumble and fall on the ground.
Wendy Posner (previously Susan Cookson) guides Ella away from Gary, who departs feeling sorrow and rage. Overwhelmed Ella remains in the medical waiting room with comforting Wendy, but stuns everyone when she suddenly lashes out and assaults her! What takes place subsequently?
2. Jai Sharma takes revenge on Laurel Thomas
Gabby Thomas (previously Rosie Bentham) shows enthusiasm when Laurel proposes the possibility of purchasing Jai’s stake in The Hide. Not long after, Jai displays disbelief upon learning that Laurel is now one of the investors in The Hide, where Gabby is involved.
In the midst of our mediation session, I’m left stunned as Jai fabricates a tale that leaves me reeling. He claims he’s sold both Holdgate and Tenants Cottage to settle his debts, thereby stripping us bare in this divorce. The revelation, though unimaginable, hits me like a punch to the gut.
Later, Jai starts questioning if he’s making the correct decision, but Caleb Miligan (William Ash) reassures him, insisting that Jai doesn’t owe Laurel anything.

3. Will Taylor’s dilemma over Rose Jackson after news from Dawn Fletcher
Worry sets in for Will as Dawn mentions she’ll inform the police about Mum, Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco), being missing. Additionally, Will is anxious about his marriage to Kim Tate (Claire King) lasting, since he can’t reach her.
He’s reeling when Dawn tells him that baby Evan might need a bone marrow transplant, and she needs to contact Rose. Will’s in shock, and haunted to think they must find Rose.
Feeling uneasy, I pick up Rose’s phone and hear a voicemail from Dawn. My anxiety grows as I dial Kim once more, now filled with concern. Pondering my words carefully, I find myself typing a message on Rose’s device, but I’m unsure of what to write. And as for Rose, I have no idea where she might be.
4. Gabby Thomas and Vinny Dingle share a touching moment
Charity experiences a pang of guilt whenever she teases Vinny about his lack of experience, in contrast to Gabby’s. However, Vinny’s doubts quickly dissipate when Gabby affectionately kisses him.
In an heartwarming instant, I found myself pushing little Thomas on the swings alongside his loving mother Gabby, and it felt like our bond was strengthening with each swing. Could it be that things are finally taking a turn for the better for Vinny?
5. Charity Dingle has a plan for Sarah Sugden
Sarah is hastily sent out of the house by Charity, offering her an authentic Dingle adventure – a thrilling ride in what appears to be a stolen sports car!
What has sparked this sudden return to Charity’s more frivolous side?
