Since the fresh Dragon Ball Daima series launched last year to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Akira Toriyama’s original Dragon Ball creation, it has shaken up the Dragon Ball franchise in numerous ways. The questions that this series needs to address before its conclusion are piling up due to these major changes. Launched last year as a tribute to the initial Dragon Ball debut in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, Dragon Ball Daima has been like a blast from the past. Apart from offering fans a new journey for Goku, this series has significantly deepened the franchise’s lore.
Embarking on my first journey through the long-teased Demon Realm in the Dragon Ball universe, it’s become evident that this mysterious region holds far greater significance for the multiverse than initially perceived. As the anime nears its conclusion, I can’t help but wonder about the unanswered questions that will shape the franchise’s future.
Will There Be a New Fusion Soon?
In “Dragon Ball Daima,” there have been various disclosures about the Demon Realm, some of which are more casual than others. One such disclosure was the Medi Bugs, these were insects that not only rejuvenate stamina like Senzu Beans but one was particularly intriguing. The Join Bug entered the series as a means for demons to rapidly merge with each other, and “Dragon Ball Daima” has been hinting at this fusion potential among fans throughout the entire series so far. Although no situation has required this merger yet, it’s something worth watching before the anime concludes.
What’s Dr. Arinsu’s Plan?
Dr. Arinsu has been operating covertly since the start of Dragon Ball Daima, and it remains unclear what this enigmatic scientist intends to achieve. By combining Kuu and Duu to create a new Majin Buu, she aimed to obtain the Dragon Ball from the First Demon World. She additionally tasked Glorio with monitoring Goku and his allies as they gather the remaining Dragon Balls, implying that she has aspirations to make a wish using the Dragon Balls herself. Her actions are concerning enough for Supreme King Gomah to be cautious of her, yet we have no clue about her ultimate goals. It’s high time to uncover them.
What’s Going to Happen to Majin Kuu and Duu?
In the enigmatic scheme of Dr. Arinsu, I’ve witnessed the birth of two fresh Majins – Kuu and Duu – from the fragments of Majin Buu. Unlike what one might anticipate, these new adversaries appear less malevolent, leaving their true nature somewhat unclear compared to their forerunner. Under Dr. Arinsu’s guidance, they seem to be more interested in indulging in chocolate than causing trouble. Given that they pose no immediate threat, it seems unnecessary to eliminate them before the conclusion of ‘Dragon Ball Daima’. However, the events surrounding these two Majins warrant swift resolution, as their fate remains undetermined.
Where Are All These New Dragon Ball Daima Characters Going to Go?
For the very first time in the Dragon Ball series, Dragon Ball Daimaoshows us the complete Demon Realm. What makes this installment stand out from past Dragon Ball anime releases is its placement within the timeline. It serves as a sequel to Dragon Ball, taking place several months to a year after the end of the Majin Buu arc, but it also happens before the Battle of Gods arc, which marks the beginning of Dragon Ball Super. This means that all the new characters we encounter here will lead us to places we haven’t visited before. They are most likely confined within the Demon Realm, but saying goodbye after such an extensive adventure won’t be easy.
What Is Really Going On With Neva?
Since the beginning of “Dragon Ball Daima,” Neva has been one of the most captivating new characters, as it was revealed that Namekians could wield more power over the Dragon Balls and their magic than previously thought. As each episode delves deeper into Neva’s abilities and his apparent sway within the Demon Realm, the series seems to be hinting at a hidden agenda for Neva. He may appear to be merely watching for now, but it seems he could suddenly switch gears and expose why he has been so attentive towards Goku and the others in their pursuit of the Dragon Balls. Something is definitely brewing.
What’s After Dragon Ball Daima?
If the rumored air date for “Dragon Ball Daima” is accurate, then the anime series will conclude with Episode 20 airing on Friday, February 28th. With these final episodes approaching, fans are left wondering what lies ahead post-conclusion. Given its position in the timeline, this raises questions about what transpires next as it seems to bridge into “Dragon Ball Super.” To make the storyline cohesive for viewers, more information is needed about the Demon Realm’s current state as Goku and his companions return to the normal world.
Regardless of whether Dragon Ball Daimao Season 2 or another season of Dragon Ball Super is forthcoming, any remaining plot threads must be tied up. The anime can’t end on a cliffhanger since we are aware of what’s to come next, and instead should demonstrate how these adventures will influence future storylines. Will we see more interaction with the demon realm? We can only wait and hope that this question is addressed before the series concludes.
