6 Coronation Street spoilers next week
1. An intruder terrifies Bethany Platt
Sarah Platt (played by Tina O’Brien) fetches Bethany from the hospital, but ignores a call from an unknown number as Bethany, overwhelmed, weeps uncontrollably.
Inside the prison, visibly agitated Damon Hay (played by Ciarán Griffiths) seems to be making an effort to communicate with Sarah. Meanwhile, Sarah takes care of settling Bethany in their apartment, then steps out for a grocery run.
Upon hearing the door opening, Bethany is taken aback to discover that it isn’t her mother who has entered, but rather an intruder wearing a balaclava. Will Bethany manage to find a place to hide before it’s too late, or does this ominous encounter once again place her life in jeopardy?
Is there any chance Bethany will adapt well given that she’s currently coping with the aftermath of a perforated intestine, sepsis, and pneumonia, now living with a permanent stoma? Can we hope for her to find solace in adapting to this new phase of life?
People who are moved by Bethany’s story can seek assistance at Colostomy UK. They also offer a 24-hour helpline, which you can reach by dialing 0800 328 4257. Mark your calendars for Stoma Aware Day on October 5th, 2024.
2. Jesse Chadwick makes David Platt discovery amid Gail Rodwell emergency
Inside the hair salon, David and grandma Audrey Roberts (played by Sue Nicholls) chat about Gail, and they both believe it’s unwise for her to put faith in Jesse.
In a while, Carla Connor (Alison King) shares with David and his spouse Shona (Julia Goulding) that she has submitted an offer for the property.
An argument erupts among Jesse, Sarah, and David, escalating so much that when Gail becomes frustrated, she commands her children to leave the house.
While searching for Brooke Malonie’s bicycle pump in the cabinet, Jesse encounters an unexpected discovery instead.
But Jesse is soon distracted by Gail, who is breathing unsteadily and clutching her arm.
Jesse makes a call for an ambulance, and it’s David, Sarah, and Ben Price’s character Nick Tilsley who show up at the scene, right as Gail is being transported to the hospital. Feeling remorseful, both David and Sarah acknowledge that their heated exchange with Jesse might have contributed to the situation.
However, following his personal find beneath the staircase, Jesse seeks to extract an admission from David. Will David choose honesty, and in turn, how will Gail fare?
3. Kit Green suspicious of Dee-Dee Bailey
Lauren presents Dee-Dee with flowers as a token of gratitude for providing her and baby Frankie a place to stay, while Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) commends his sister for her generosity.
In a turn of events, Dee-Dee’s social worker has a conversation, but upon discovering an ancient love letter penned by Joel Deering (Calum Lill), Dee-Dee becomes emotional and hurriedly leaves. The question arises, can Dee-Dee handle Lauren relocating?
At the café, Kit finds Dee-Dee’s actions peculiar, but later engages in playful conversation with Daisy Midgeley, who is portrayed by Charlotte Jordan.
As a movie enthusiast, I’ve been pondering over whether Dee-Dee could be the culprit behind Joel’s tragic demise. After delving deeper into each potential suspect, both Kit and Dee-Dee have caught my attention.
4. Lauren Bolton and Max Turner confess their feelings
In simpler terms, Bobby Crawford (played by Jack Carroll) inquires from Max about his distance towards him, only to discover Max with Lauren. Both of them claim they’re not intentionally ignoring Bobby, leaving Bobby puzzled and wanting to uncover the secret behind their behavior.
As the week unfolds, Lauren seeks a diversion from Joel’s funeral, and extends an invitation to Bobby to come see baby Frankie at the hospital instead.
however, in the infant care ward, Lauren is surprised when Max openly declares his affection towards her. Meanwhile, there’s the question of how Bobby, who also harbors feelings for Lauren, might react to this development.

While Leanne and Nick are sorting out their possessions, Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) finds it difficult to conceal his emotions, which appear to be distress or sadness.
Leanne finds herself feeling deeply emotional, recalling the special moments shared at the apartment with her cherished late son, Oliver. Additionally, she becomes saddened by the thought of parting from that place.
Nick expresses regret over their past situation, yet swiftly extends an offer of a ride to Toyah Habeeb (played by Georgia Taylor), who is now moving to a new location. It remains to be seen if Nick will attempt pursuing Toyah once more.
6. Chesney Brown’s double error
On Friday, Dev Alahan (played by Jimmi Harkishin) instructs Chesney to thoroughly clean the kebab shop, while Gemma Winter-Brown (portrayed by Dolly-Rose Campbell) resumes her duties at the Rovers.
Struggling with grief, Gemma finds it hard to adapt, and her half-brother Kit gently suggests that perhaps she returned a bit early. To help, he proposes that she could stay at a friend’s cottage in the beautiful Lake District.
Since Gemma is not around, Chesney returns from the kebab shop and plans to drive son Joseph (William Flanagan) to the airport for his ski vacation. However, if Chesney fails to notice the altered flight schedule messages, will he make it on time?
While Kirk Sutherland (played by Andrew Whyment) tends to the kebab stand, an official health inspector unexpectedly shows up. Unaware of the situation, Kirk welcomes them with a friendly smile. Could there be any complications arising from this encounter?
