It’s a tough decision, one that many of us have faced when life throws us unexpected curveballs. I hope David can find a way to help Gail without resorting to such drastic measures.
Could it be possible that the character Joel Deering, played by Calum Lill, will meet his demise in the upcoming week’s episodes? But is this speculation based on fact or just a clever plot twist?

1. Is Joel Deering dead amid sinister discovery?
After receiving a voicemail from Joel, Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) shares it with DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), who believes it might be a message expressing desperation or intent to end one’s life.
Via the cellular signal from Joel’s phone, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) locates the last known position of him and discovers his car parked on a bridge, accompanied by a note left on the dashboard.
Lisa shares the sad update that they’re searching for Joel’s remains, yet there lingers a question – could it be that Joel took his own life?
Dee-Dee trusts Kit with the information that she called the wedding location and vacation agency, and it appears that Joel has gotten back the money they had deposited earlier.
As the days unfold, I find myself squaring off with Joel’s father, Gus Deering, played by Chris Garner, within the confines of a police station.
It’s proposed that Joel might have disappeared, leaving Lisa with no choice but to break the news to Dee-Dee, suggesting they should accept that Joel may be deceased. However, there’s still a possibility he’s alive.
2. Bernie Winter’s plan for Paul Foreman’s ashes after final journey
Without any decisions made about Paul’s funeral yet, Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) proposes to Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) that they pick out the flowers together.
However, this situation raises another issue, and Bernie informs Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) that it may not be possible for her to provide Paul with the full funeral service as desired, but she will locate an appropriate resting place for his ashes instead.
On the very day that should have marked our first wedding anniversary, I, a tearful Billy, find myself gearing up for a funeral instead. The bittersweet irony hangs heavy in the air.
however, Billy is shocked to discover that Denny Foreman, who appears to be intoxicated (Paul’s father), is hiding in the church shadows. Billy demands that Denny act appropriately and keep a low profile.
In this scene, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), Kit, David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and Dee-Dee bear Paul’s casket as they walk down the aisle. Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Bernie trail behind them.
On the first day, Billy starts the ceremony, while on the second day, the last-minute arrangements are completed for the tribute dance event, which is dedicated to Paul.
In simpler terms, Bernie requests Todd to retrieve Paul’s remains so Bernie can place them in the prime location on the dance floor. Meanwhile, a still groggy Billy is taken aback when he finds out that the ashes are missing upon calling to pick them up.
Bernie expresses gratitude to the party guests for making Paul’s night unforgettable, and then shares her intention to launch Paul’s remains into space. So, what might Billy’s response be?
3. Desperate measures to pay for Bethany Platt’s care as Damon Hay reaches out to Sarah Platt
Since Sarah can’t reach her voicemail in Turkey and is anxious about updates from a loan company, she asks her former husband Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) to listen to her missed calls instead.
Adam finds himself taken aback upon listening to a voicemail message from Sarah’s former boyfriend, Damon. The question arises as to whether he should inform Sarah about this or choose to stay silent instead.
Simultaneously, at a Turkish hospital, the head of a cosmetic surgery firm approached Sarah and proposed covering her hotel expenses. Sarah insisted they cover Bethany’s medical costs instead, but the CEO presented her with Bethany’s consent form.
In Weatherfield, David informs his grandmother Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) that the company has decided not to make the payment, prompting Audrey to suggest they share their experience of the company negatively on social media to reveal its true nature.
Bethany’s grandmother, Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth), proposes the idea of selling their house to gather funds. However, David strongly objects, expressing his concern that if they go through with this, they would find themselves without a home.
Simultaneously, Daniel Osbourne, Bethany’s beau (played by Rob Mallard), discloses his intention to tap into a portion of their son Bertie’s trust fund to aid her financially.
Dad Ken Barlow (played by William Roache) advises Daniel to reconsider, yet no one has been identified to cover Bethany’s medical expenses.
Due to Bethany’s choice for liposuction, she now has a permanent opening called a stoma, which she’ll need to accept and adapt to over the next few weeks.

Later on, Tyrone clarifies to Hope and Ruby Dobbs (played by Billie Naylor) that Fiz isn’t feeling good. However, his worries about Fiz are momentarily forgotten once he finds Hope’s pencil case, from which a vape unexpectedly falls out.
Tyrone and Fiz are stunned when a cocky Hope reveals she stole it from the corner shop!

In the café, Ryan tells Lisa that Carla is stressed about her plea hearing.
