It brings back memories of my own family squabbles, albeit not as dramatic!
Next week, Chrissie Watts returns, but the reason for her long-awaited return to Walford remains a mystery… until we find out more!
Meanwhile, Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) encounters an unexpected surprise elsewhere, yet her romantic affairs are already entangled in intricacies.
Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) desires to escape the stressful environment of The Queen Vic pub, whereas Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) works on bringing father and son George (Colin Salmon) and Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) back together.
It seems that Chelsea Fox’s (Zaraah Abrahams) feelings of guilt regarding a tragic incident at the club may soon come to light. Additionally, Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) wants to interrogate Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) about something related to this situation.

6 EastEnders spoilers next week
1. Chrissie Watts returns under mysterious circumstances
Chrissie Watts has returned, stirring up quite the whirlwind. However, we’re left wondering about her current situation and her plans. The arrival of Chrissie in Albert Square sends ripples throughout the community.
It’s likely that Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) will be both shocked and enraged, considering their previous encounter with Chrissie was when she stood trial for killing Den Watts (Leslie Grantham), a crime for which she is now being held accountable.
As the story unfolds, a challenging week reaches its climax. It remains a mystery who or what will be part of Chris’s unexpected return.
2. Anna Knight pregnant with Bobby Beale’s baby
Instead of directly assisting Anna when she’s struggling, boyfriend Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) decides to focus on his work with the Beale’s Eels. Recognizing her need for support, he instead enlists friend Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) to help cheer Anna up in his absence.
However, Freddie harbors secret feelings for Anna and goes to great lengths to avoid being alone with her due to his anxiety. This results in him inventing a weak reason, which unintentionally hurts her instead.
Later on, Anna intends to check with Freddie if all is well between them, but she gets lightheaded and can’t reach him in time.
In the end, Anna pays a visit to Freddie who claims everything’s okay, but remains non-committal about birdwatching together. Instead, Anna proposes having dinner with Bobby and her sister Gina Knight (Francesca Henry). To Freddie’s relief, she agrees, believing it’s safer in a group.
However, at Walford East, Gina and Bobby find themselves diverted from their original plans. Meanwhile, Priya Nandra-Hart playfully mocks Freddie and Anna for potentially being on a date, causing Freddie to hastily depart using another flimsy pretext.
An upset Anna confides in Gina, who plans to get to the bottom of the issue.
It won’t take much time until Gina discovers that Freddie also harbors feelings for Anna. Unfortunately, Anna encounters difficulties when she seeks out Freddie, and ends up vomiting in the café before they have a chance to converse at length.
As a movie buff, I find myself in an intriguing scenario: I (Gina) subtly inquired of my friend (Anna) whether she could be pregnant, unaware that snoopy Cindy might have noticed me purchasing a pregnancy test for Anna. Later on, we gathered at The Vic, and lo and behold, Anna decided to take the test. The outcome? She’s expecting a baby from Bobby! Now the question is: What will Anna do next in this unfolding plotline of hers?
3. Kojo Asare plans exit after outburst
In a simpler term, the dialogue with Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) leaves her feeling unsettled, as opposed to George and his newly discovered sibling Kojo who enjoy a pleasant day out together.
However, upon their return to the pub, Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) inadvertently sets off Kojo, who reacts aggressively towards him. In a tense dialogue, Elaine becomes frustrated and insists that George gets rid of Kojo because they are not prepared to handle his specific requirements.
As Kojo listens in without their knowledge, George attempts to ease tensions by departing to prepare a drink for him after they both exit the room.
In the meantime, Kojo manages to sneak away from The Vic. George becomes frantic when he can’t find his brother, accusing Elaine of causing Kojo to leave. The police are called in for assistance in finding Kojo, and George persists in shutting Elaine out due to feelings of guilt.
In the morning, Kojo stirs awake in his secret spot and proceeds towards the underground train station. However, it’s nephew Junior who tracks him down, attempting to persuade Kojo to join him for a drink at the local pub instead.
But as Kojo reveals he wants to go home to Ghana, will the Knights be able to change his mind?
4. Cindy Beale encourages Junior Knight to reach out to George Knight
As a film enthusiast, I found myself drawn into the chilly dynamic between George and Junior in this captivating production. Notably, Cindy offers Junior some insightful guidance on mending fences with his father, George, suggesting he reconsiders their relationship.
In the following sequence of events, Junior and George experience a heartfelt moment. This is followed by Junior sending a text to his secret lover, Cindy, requesting an opportunity to express his gratitude in person. As their clandestine relationship persists, there’s a question of whether or not George will discover the romantic entanglement between his ex-wife and son.
5. The walls close in on lying Chelsea Fox amid Amy Mitchell’s injuries
Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) informs his daughter, Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd), that the authorities might need to speak with her regarding the incident at the nightclub.
When Frankie Day’s character, Ricky Branning, ponders whether Kitty Castledine’s character, Penny Branning, might end up in prison, Jack doesn’t dismiss the possibility.
As a movie buff, I can’t help but feel the chill of realization creeping up my spine when I grasp the gravity of the situation, and it seems Chelsea is sharing this chilly sensation. She’s dancing around Amy like a leaf caught in a gusty wind, but Amy’s clearly agitated. Amy demands space, yet Chelsea senses Amy needs a listening ear more than solitude. With a persuasive nudge, Chelsea manages to convince Denzel Danes, a friend I know as Jaden Ladega, to pay a visit to Amy and help lift her spirits.
Despite Denzel feeling responsible for Amy’s presence at the club that evening, it’s been disclosed by Jack that the police technical squad are diligently working on fixing the corrupted footage from the crush. This means they’ll soon uncover the actual truth about what transpired, raising questions about whether Chelsea’s role in the incident will be brought to light.
6. Who is Avani Nandra-Hart’s mystery contact?
Instead of hanging out with Barney as planned, Avani seems more interested in texting someone else, choosing to disregard him. Frustrated, Barney eventually inquires about the mystery texter, accurately deducing it’s a male.
Avani angrily tells Barney to be quiet, suggesting that something Barney said has upset her deeply. The question of who Avani is texting or communicating with remains unanswered in this context.
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
