This afternoon, WWE 2K25 unveiled an impressive lineup of more than 300 Superstars and managers, featuring a balanced combination of contemporary and legendary figures. While the roster is largely complete, there are still several characters that WWE enthusiasts would love to see added as downloadable content (DLC). Here are 7 stars we strongly believe should be included in WWE 2K25’s DLC, even though not all of them might make the final cut. We’re confident that at least a few of these will appear!
Stephanie Vaquer
Vaquer entered WWE amidst significant anticipation, and without a doubt, she’s met those expectations. This rising star made a major impact in NXT and has had rivalries with some of the company’s leading personalities. Over the weekend, she triumphed over Fallon Henley to secure the title of NXT Women’s North American Champion.
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but imagine how thrilling it would be if Vaquer, the new WWE superstar, made her way into my favorite wrestling video game. You see, last year on July 13th, she rocked the ring at a live event in Mexico City, marking her WWE debut. Then, just a few months later, in October, she had her NXT in-ring debut. Given this fast track into the world of wrestling, it seems quite plausible that she could be added as part of the game’s final DLC, giving the developers enough time to create an exciting and authentic experience for us gamers.
Giulia
The highly anticipated newcomer, NXT Women’s Champion Giulia, joins the lineup, and it might be confusing to follow the timeline. Giulia initially appeared in NXT during No Mercy last year, and then faced Chelsea Green for her first match on September 10th within NXT.
As a devoted fan, I’d been eagerly anticipating Giulia’s debut for quite some time, but it wasn’t until the last few months of 2024 that she finally made her appearance on TV and in the wrestling ring. Given her late entry into the scene, her inclusion in the game presents a tough challenge, but considering 2K has successfully added stars under similar circumstances before, I’m hopeful they’ll do the same with Giulia.
Zaria
As a gamer, I’ve got to admit, including Giulia in the game is going to be quite a task. It’ll be even tougher for NXT’s powerhouse Zaria, who just debuted on October 22nd and had her first match against Brinley Reece on the 29th. That leaves us with a short window to get her into the playable roster. However, just like with Vaquer and Giulia, it’s not out of the question that she could make it into one of the later DLC packs.
Jordynne Grace
It’s a toss-up whether this might turn out one way or another, considering Jordynne Grace is an exceptional case. Recent developments have seen her transitioning into a full-time WWE member, but if we were solely looking at that, it seems unlikely. However, Grace has had previous interactions with WWE on numerous occasions, including during the WWE and TNA crossovers, and even participating in NXT premium live events. This history could potentially swing things in her favor.
As a die-hard gamer, if I had a heads up from 2K about Grace joining the roster, it would boost my hopes of seeing her in this year’s WWE game. If that tip-off never comes, it looks like we’re going to miss out on Grace in the current edition, meaning we’ll have to wait until WWE 2K26 to potentially play as her.
Penta
This question mark is a significant one, and it’s one that many are eagerly awaiting an answer for. Penta made his WWE debut during the second week of Raw’s new era on Netflix, going head-to-head with Chad Gable and securing a notable victory. However, since this occurred in January, it remains uncertain if bringing him into the game is practically possible considering the time constraints involved.
As a devoted fan, I’m excitedly envisioning a scenario where Penta could join the roster, ideally in the upcoming final DLC pack. Such an inclusion wouldn’t just be remarkable, but it would significantly boost the game’s current roster to one of its most contemporary and vibrant lineups yet. Fingers crossed that some of the characters we’ve mentioned earlier also get a spot! Here’s to hoping this dream becomes a tangible reality.
Ricky Starks
It’s been clear that we didn’t have any indication whether 2K could feature Penta in the game, but this uncertainty multiplies significantly when it comes to Ricky Starks. He only recently made his debut on NXT last week, and he hasn’t even uttered a word about himself on TV yet! So, if he doesn’t end up in the game, no one would be shocked, considering the short timeline. However, if by some chance Ricky Starks manages to join the game through a DLC update at some point, it would undoubtedly be incredible, and who knows, it might just happen!
Joe Hendry
For the final point, we’re delving into the realm of imaginative possibilities, although it’s worth noting that more extraordinary events have transpired. The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Total Nonstop Action (TNA), formerly known as Impact Wrestling, are currently engaged in a multi-year collaboration. Over the past year, we’ve witnessed quite a bit of talent exchange between NXT and TNA. One of the most significant transfers from TNA has been Joe Hendry, who has been warmly received by WWE fans, culminating in a significant event at the Royal Rumble.
Since Hendry is currently employed by TNA (Total Nonstop Action) and bound by contract, it seems uncertain if he can be included in a WWE video game without a unique agreement being arranged first. If this were to materialize, it would mark a significant milestone for the series, as fans would eagerly anticipate Hendry interacting with the WWE roster.
