As a long-time Corrie fan, I find myself intrigued by the unfolding drama surrounding Jesse Chadwick. With his mysterious past and questionable financial dealings, it seems he’s stirring up quite a storm in Weatherfield. Sarah Barlow’s accusations of theft have him squirming, but with Adam Barlow off the hook, the spotlight is now on Jesse.
There’s a murder mystery to solve next week, as villain Joel Deering (Calum Lill) is found dead! But as more than one character displays shifty behaviour, who is the killer?
In the meantime, Sam Blakeman (played by Jude Riordan) finds himself at the emergency room after meddling in matchmaking, while Daisy Midgeley (portrayed by Charlotte Jordan) drops by to check on an unwell Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon).
In a turn of events, Isabella Flanagan, known as Hope Dobbs, encounters the repercussions of her vaping habit, while Bill Fellows, or Stu Carpenter, steps up to share some important news.
In another location, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) harbors doubts about Jesse Chadwick (John Thomson). Could her suspicions be justified?
Bobby Crawford, portrayed by Jack Carroll, opens up about his emotions, causing worry in Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) regarding his wife, Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell).
Here are all your Coronation Street spoilers from 14th – 18th October 2024.
8 Coronation Street spoilers next week
1. Who murdered Joel Deering as body is discovered?
Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) examine the closed-circuit television footage from a train station parking lot. They identify Joel and his father Gus (Chris Garner) near a locker in the video.
Kit demands answers from Gus, while three lads spot a body floating in the water of a riverbank.
Craig shares the tragic news with Kit and Detective Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) that Joel’s lifeless body has been discovered. Kit begins to prepare herself to inform Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) and Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) about this devastating turn of events.
Later, he tells Lauren that the post-mortem has revealed Joel was dead before he entered the water.

In my perspective as a movie-goer, we find ourselves delving into a gripping murder mystery. Our protagonist, Kit, is probing the central character, Lauren, concerning her whereabouts on a fateful evening – specifically, the night of Joel’s demise, which fell on the 27th of September.
Dee-Dee informs Dad Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) and Uncle Ronnie (Vinta Morgan) that Joel has been fatally injured, while Kit confides in Lisa that Joel’s death was caused by two severe head blows, probably from a crowbar.
Lisa was taken aback when Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King) revealed that she kicked Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) out due to finding a crowbar with him.
Betsy Swain, also known as Sydney Martin, shows curiosity when her mother advises her to keep distance from Mason. In response, Betsy alerts Mason that the authorities have caught wind of his activities.

Mason gets spotted by Kit throwing away a crowbar in a trash can, meanwhile Dee-Dee informs Ronnie that the authorities suspect Joel was assaulted with a crowbar.
Later on, Ronnie learns about Debbie Webster’s (Sue Devaney) secret plan for a surprise 55th birthday party, but his cheerful spirit is dampened when Kit and a coworker confront him and Ed.

Ronnie maintains that he was at home all by himself on the night when Joel disappeared, while Ed asserts that he was out with Dee-Dee and their child named Michael (Ryan Russell) at that time.
Ronnie mentions that it’s been a while since he last utilized the GPS system; that was during the time when he and Michael assisted Joel with moving out of his apartment, which we now know, was not Ronnie’s car but rather Michael’s, as he disclosed at the party.
Debbie figures out that Ronnie wasn’t truthful with her. The question arises, what action will she take next? Was it Ronnie who was responsible for Joel’s demise, or is somebody else at fault here?
2. Sam Blakeman’s hospital dash amid Rowan Cunliffe news

In simpler terms, Nick Tilsley (played by Ben Price) informs David Platt (performed by Jack P Shepherd), that Rowan Cunliffe (portrayed by Emrhys Cooper) is claiming innocence for blackmail and fraud charges, which means the case will proceed to a court trial.
Afterward, I find myself observing Nick engaging with a customer in a flirtatious manner. I approach the woman and inform her that he’s actually engaged. Later on, I decide to whip up a romantic meal at my place, hoping it would rekindle the spark between Nick and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson).

However, upon employing a sharp blade, he found himself in need of immediate medical attention, administered by Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey), and subsequently required stitches for a wound on his hand.
It seems that in the aftermath, Leanne and Nick reach a decision.

Leanne advises Toyah Habeeb (Georgia Taylor) that it’s important for them to vacate their apartment to assist Nick and Sam in some way.
It appears Leanne has mentioned that she’s currently renting the flat above the salon, and advised Toyah to secure her own accommodation. Does this imply the end of their friendship and also the relationship between Leanne and Nick? It certainly seems so.
3. Daisy Midgeley tries to get through to Bethany Platt

Daniel Osbourne, portrayed by Rob Mallard, confides in Sarah that Bethany feels he’s not interested in her relationship now that she uses a stoma bag.
When Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) informs Daisy that Bethany has broken up with Daniel, Daisy decides to go to the hospital to set things right with Bethany.
Is it possible for Daisy to reach out to Bethany and manage to influence her feelings towards Daniel, given the circumstances in Coronation Street? The soap opera is collaborating with Colostomy UK to present a compassionate depiction of Bethany’s journey as she learns to adapt to a permanent stoma.
Can Bethany accept herself in her new circumstances?
Individuals moved by Bethany’s narrative may seek assistance at Colostomy UK. They can also reach out to their 24-hour hotline at 0800 328 4257. Mark your calendars, as Stoma Aware Day is set for October 5th, 2024.
4. Hope Dobbs’s vape habit makes her ill

In simpler terms, Jennie McAlpine’s character Fiz Dobbs informs Alan Halsall’s character Tyrone Dobbs that their daughter Hope isn’t well enough to attend school today. Consequently, Fiz is staying home to take care of her.
Tyrone believes Hope’s habit of vaping may have contributed to her current situation, as medical professional Dr. Gaddas (Christine Mackie) agrees that Hope is suffering from a chest infection, and it’s likely her vaping has had an impact on this condition.
Will this be the wake-up call Hope needs?
5. Stu Carpenter reveals exit plans

Stu is angry with Yasmeen when Mason reveals the special worker has found him somewhere to live.
Soon, Stuart informs Yasmeen that he’s considering relocating to Germany as he wants to be near his granddaughter Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) and her father Dom Everett (Darren Morfitt).
Will Yasmeen respond differently since it’s known that Stuart is leaving – could it be a heartfelt goodbye instead?
6. Sarah Platt suspects Jesse Chadwick of theft

Sarah alleges that her former spouse, Adam Barlow (played by Sam Robertson), is responsible for misappropriating Damon Hay’s (portrayed by Ciarán Griffiths) funds kept in the storage locker. However, Adam denies any involvement, and he asserts that Daniel was also not involved in this matter.
Adam suggests the most likely suspect is Damon’s cousin, who went to ‘check’ on the cash.
At the same time, Jesse shares with David that he has leased a place in Oakhill, yet anticipates receiving a significant amount of money.
As David checks his funds to determine if he can afford No. 8, he becomes cautious upon Jesse’s offer of assistance, choosing instead to inform him that he is planning a trip with Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) to Whitby.
Sarah and David notice that Jesse seems odd, but their discussion gets interrupted when they spot a ‘For Sale’ sign appearing on the house.
In my perspective as a movie enthusiast, when Adam accidentally reveals that Jesse might’ve eavesdropped on his and Daniel’s conversation about Damon’s secret treasure, Sarah enlists David’s aid in uncovering Jesse’s supposed theft!
Jesse intends to build a relationship with Gail’s children by taking them out for lunch at The Rovers. Following this, Jesse discusses his financial situation, mentioning that he anticipates receiving money from the sale of his former house. In response, David advises Sarah to disregard the issue of the missing funds.
As a movie buff, I couldn’t help but find myself following Jesse after his sudden exit from the pub. Headed towards Victoria Gardens, my curiosity was piqued – was there a secret he was keeping?
7. Bobby Crawford makes big confession

The doctor tells Lauren and Max Turner (played by Paddy Bever) that little Frankie is progressing favorably, and it’s expected he can go home in about a month.
Bobby promises Lauren that he and Max will be there to help her with Frankie.
Simultaneously, Bobby confesses to Max that his affection for Lauren remains constant, and he yearns to be by her side.
Over the course of the week, Nick queries Lauren about her experience of sleeping on the sofa at the Platts’ place a while back.
At the Rovers Return, Bobby encounters Max and Lauren. In a hurry, Max departs, leaving Bobby puzzled. Curious about their odd behavior, Bobby inquires why they’ve been acting secretive. When Lauren too hastens away, Bobby is left bewildered.
Are Lauren and Max an item, or could they be hiding any involvement in Joel’s demise?
8. Chesney Brown worries for anxious Gemma Winter-Brown

Gemma expresses to Chesney that she’d prefer Joseph Brown (William Flanagan) not to join the upcoming school skiing trip. As Chesney comprehends, it’s because Gemma is worried about Joseph’s safety following the tragic loss of Paul Foreman (Peter Ash). However, Chesney tries to alleviate her concerns.
Struggling Joseph confides in his father that he feels unwilling to attend, as he doesn’t wish to add to Gemma’s anxiety. As Jenny proposes the idea of Gemma returning to work, Chesney firmly believes it’s premature. However, will Gemma agree with this suggestion?
