9-Year-Old Boy Found Dead in Arizona Home Filled With Spiders, Urine

As an obsessed fan of justice and a concerned citizen, I am deeply saddened and horrified by the tragic story of the 9-year-old boy from Arizona who was found dead in his home under such deplorable conditions. My heart goes out to the family and friends of this innocent child, whose life was cut short due to the alleged negligence and abuse of his father, Joseph Antonsen.

In heartbreaking news from Arizona, a 9-year-old child was discovered deceased at his residence during a welfare visit carried out by authorities on July 14, as reported in a press statement issued by the Pima County Sherriff’s Department and obtained by TopMob News.

I was absolutely devastated as I uncovered the heart-wrenching truth – my beloved child had been gone for quite some time, lying motionless on the couch within our very own home. The investigation’s findings left me shattered.

Authorities have announced that Joseph Antonsen, the child’s father, is under arrest on charges of two counts of child abuse and one count of negligent homicide. The ongoing investigation will provide further details.

According to KVOA’s report based on an interim complaint, Antonsen shared with the authorities that his son fell ill on July 12. The boy later “shut down and grew limp.” In an attempt to take him for medical help, Antonsen went outside to start their car. However, upon re-entering the house, he discovered his son was not breathing and had no pulse.

The 38-year-old admitted to authorities that he “ought to have contacted someone,” according to reports, but instead, he went to an undisclosed place and returned home after two days.

Upon entering Antonsen’s house according to KVOA’s interim report, law enforcement came across mounds of trash in areas where his son was situated. Moreover, they discovered an abundance of empty beer cans, putrid diapers, spoiled food, numerous one-gallon bottles filled with what seemed to be urine, significant insect infestations, and various spider species including black widows and brown recluses. Spiderwebs were also prevalent on all the home’s walls.

Deputies reportedly mentioned that the house lacked functional water taps or toilets, and Antonsen’s child was discovered slumped in a seat. His body showed signs of decay.

Antonsen is being held on a bond of $500,000, according to online jail records viewed by People.

We’re checking if Antonsen has hired a lawyer and whether he’s made a court plea so far with TopMob News.

The neighbor of the father and son shared with KOLD, a local news channel, that her daughter used to be close friends with the 9-year-old boy. However, she mentioned observing the father and son together less often in more recent times.

The woman expressed that her daughter was always eager to join her friends, exclaiming, “I’d spend hours trying to get them to come back home.”

And of the deceased, she added, “He was a really friendly kid. He was very polite.”
