From my perspective as an ardent fan, by the onset of “Alan Wake 2”, our hero Alan had been confined within the ominous realm known as The Dark Place for a staggering thirteen years. Remarkably, his indomitable spirit managed to lead him to freedom. Alan is a character brimming with depth; he’s meticulously crafted with intricate psychological nuances and profound emotional resonance. His voice acting is powerful, and the narrative that surrounds him is nothing short of captivating. These attributes are the hallmarks of an exceptionally well-crafted protagonist. Thankfully, Alan’s tale remains unfinished, so we can eagerly anticipate his further evolution in a potential “Alan Wake 3”.

3. Dante (Devil May Cry 5)

The character Dante from the video game series Devil May Cry, who is both half-demon and half-human, stands out as one of gaming’s most memorable protagonists. Whether it involves stealing from the most profitable cyberware company or taking down a cyberpsycho terrorizing Night City, V rarely turns down an assignment.

In the game ‘Cyberpunk 2077’, the character V’s predicament involves the presence of Johnny Silverhand’s spirit. This spectral rockstar tags along wherever V travels, creating a dynamic relationship that switches from friendship to enmity. The interactions between them are engaging and unpredictable. Throughout his journey, Clive faces numerous hardships, battles, and displays remarkable selflessness. His tale is deeply moving, and by witnessing its conclusion, one can develop a strong affection for him.

7. Kratos (God of War 2018)

In terms of character evolution, no one has undergone a more profound change than Kratos. Initially in the God of War Greek mythology, he was a vengeful, powerful figure marked by his wrath. He was responsible for the deaths of the entire Greek pantheon, including his father, Zeus. However, when the Norse saga started with God of War 2018, Kratos’ persona experienced an enormous shift.
