I’ve already published 58 reviews in 2025 — These are my top 10 favorite laptops, accessories, and other tech so far

Currently serving as the main reviewer at Windows Central, I’m constantly receiving a plethora of products in my workplace. Some excite me, others fail to capture my interest, but I subject every item to an identical degree of evaluation to help you decide if it’s worth your investment or if you should hold onto your money for something more promising.

As we’ve reached the midpoint of 2025, I’ve had the pleasure of examining an impressive 58 assorted tech products, including laptops, monitors, accessories, games, and more for Windows Central – that equates to roughly two reviews per week on average.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane and revisit the top 10 products I’ve reviewed this year, starting from a compact webcam up to a high-performance gaming laptop.

10. Razer Blade 14 (2025)

On the given list, the revamped Razer Blade 14 (2025) marks its debut. This is Razer’s top-selling laptop, now boasting a slimmer, lighter design, enhanced intelligence, and unprecedented power levels compared to its predecessors.

For quite some time, I’ve admired numerous Razer accessories. However, their high-priced and specialized gaming laptops didn’t excite me much. But in 2025, my perspective on them has taken a drastic turn for the better.

In my Razer Blade 14 (2025) review, I wrote:

In 2025, Razer Blade 14 is set to debut a revamped design, increased power, and AI-packed features, reminiscent of its 16-inch counterpart. This top-selling laptop from Razer has been upgraded for an enhanced user experience, although it may not be essential for most users’ needs. If you prefer a smudge-free device, I would recommend the silver color variant to avoid constant fingerprint marks.

Absolutely, I stand by my view that most people can find alternatives to spending on the Razer Blade 14. However, for those who prioritize top-tier performance in a compact 14-inch form factor, the Blade 14 offers an exceptional and potent choice. That is, until I complete my review of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025), which seems promising as it might outshine the Blade 14 based on initial impressions.

9. Dell UltraSharp 27 4K Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U2725QE)

Among all the items on this list, the one that took me by surprise the most was a monitor I didn’t anticipate developing such a rapid affection for – and that’s none other than the Dell UltraSharp 27 4K Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U2725QE). To be honest, I’m not exactly thrilled about having to write out its name again.

Upon initial observation, the U2725QE might seem like just another run-of-the-mill productivity monitor from a well-known brand. However, this particular model stands out in a crowd and is far from ordinary. Its exceptional characteristics were so noteworthy that I felt compelled to discuss its standout feature before completing my full review – expressing the high value I placed on it.

Once I posted my comprehensive review of the Dell UltraSharp 27 4K Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U2725QE), I reached a conclusion:

[In simpler terms, this means that after writing and publishing my detailed review on the Dell UltraSharp 27 4K Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U2725QE), I came to an overall assessment or judgment.]

One of the latest models in the expansive Dell UltraSharp monitor series may not tick all the boxes for high-end monitors, but it combines an outstanding IPS LCD screen ideal for productivity with a comprehensive Thunderbolt 4 USB hub that becomes indispensable once used. Although there’s potential for more features and Dell’s updated software doesn’t feel significantly improved, finding a comparable display is challenging.

Dell has developed an indispensable productivity resource that seamlessly integrates your entire system using this monitor. Notably, its software has been refined to be sleeker, more user-friendly, and more dependable following my assessment. In essence, monitors are undeniably superior when equipped with Thunderbolt technology.

8. ASUS Zenbook A14 (2025)

As a satisfied customer, I wholeheartedly endorse the ASUS Zenbook A14 (2025) with a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. While it may not be the top-scorer on this list, let me clarify that it’s far from the worst. Instead, I view it as an exceptional mid-range Windows laptop, and one of the finest AI PCs a casual user can currently purchase.

Observing from afar, I find myself drawn to the lightweight Zenbook A14, tipping the scales at less than a kilogram and offering remarkable battery life among 14-inch laptops. Named thoughtfully by ASUS to steer clear of any potential disputes with a well-known tech giant, it’s an appealing device that caught my attention due to its initial $100 lower price point compared to the announced cost.

In my full ASUS Zenbook A14 (2025) review, I said:

Experiencing the Zenbook A14 firsthand, I find it boasts an incredibly lightweight yet robust magnesium frame reminiscent of feather and rock. Powered by the efficient Snapdragon X series chipsets that barely draw from its colossal battery, this laptop is a marvel of modern engineering. The Zenbook A14 strikes a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics, making it one of the standout laptops in 202X. If only its projected $900 entry-level configuration were to materialize, it would have truly been an exceptional value for a sleek and powerful AI-equipped PC; however, a slight $100 price hike keeps it from achieving that distinction.

We (myself and our Editor-in-Chief, Daniel Rubino) are still extremely fond of this laptop, and since its launch, the Zenbook A14 has experienced some exceptionally favorable price reductions. I’ve even seen it sell for as low as $650, which is an exceptional bargain for one of our top-favorite Copilot+ PCs of the year.

7. OBSBOT Tiny SE

It isn’t essential that everyone owns a webcam, as many users prioritize functionality over high-quality imaging. However, for those who value superior quality in their webcam experience, like myself, the OBSBOT Tiny 2 has been my top pick after more than a year and a half. I had a chance to review this device.

The given webcam is priced at $300, which is significantly higher than most people are willing to pay for a webcam. Fortunately, OBSBOT has introduced the Tiny SE, an AI-enhanced Full HD webcam equipped with full gimbal tracking and a comprehensive set of features. The advantage lies in its affordable price tag of just $100.

In my OBSBOT Tiny SE review, I concluded:

The OBSBOT Tiny SE is virtually one of the most affordable webcams available at present, boasting impressive 1080p resolution, dependable low-light performance, and beneficial AI-enhanced gimbal tracking. Although it lacks some high-end features found in my preferred OBSBOT Tiny 2, this camera comes with a price tag that is only a third of its pricier counterpart, offering many similar characteristics.

This affordable webcam costs under $100, and I can’t find another one within this price range that I wholeheartedly endorse. The Tiny SE offers exceptional value and is ideal for anyone seeking a dependable webcam without overspending.

6. Razer Kishi V3 Pro

The following two points are closely connected, as I examined them nearly simultaneously, and more importantly, they complement each other to enhance their effectiveness. It’s worth noting that the Razer Kishi V3 Pro currently stands out as the top-tier mobile gaming controller available in the market.

Among numerous high-quality choices offered by brands such as GameSir and Backbone, Razer has crafted an exceptionally responsive, robust, comfortable, luxury, and richly-featured mobile game controller that works seamlessly with a multitude of smartphones and tablets, leveraging their past expertise in controller design.

In my Razer Kishi V3 Pro review, I wrote:

The Razer Kishi V3 Pro builds upon the exceptional qualities of its predecessor, the Kishi Ultra, by incorporating additional buttons and features, along with numerous improvements. It stands as the pinnacle of mobile gaming controllers, albeit it may not suit those who prefer a more compact device. For larger screens, there’s an XL version designed for tablets up to 13 inches in size. This device has become one of my preferred methods for gaming.

The Kishi V3 Pro boasts a host of impressive features including full-sized TMR thumbsticks (an upgraded version of Hall Effect), customizable extra buttons, Razer Nexus launcher with Remote Play for PC, audio-to-haptic technology, and Razer’s virtual control emulator. If you’re searching for the next device to complement it, it might just be the best choice yet!

5. Lenovo Legion Tab (Gen 3)

Lately, I discussed a device that currently serves as my preferred gaming handheld, which is neither my Nintendo Switch OLED nor my ASUS ROG Ally X, and it’s important to clarify that I was referring to both this tablet and the earlier mentioned one.

In an unusual turn of events for both Lenovo and Windows Central, the brand new entry on our list is an Android-powered tablet. Being conscious of its potential as a gaming device with Xbox Cloud Gaming and Microsoft’s mobile gaming ventures, I chose to evaluate it, ultimately finding it to be my preferred companion gadget.

In my in-depth Lenovo Legion Tab (Gen 3) review, I said:

The Lenovo Legion Tab is a compact Android tablet, ideal for mobile gaming but versatile as a great companion for any tablet use. Boasting a stylish and premium build, swift and smooth performance, a fast and responsive screen, powerful hardware, and a large battery, the Legion Tab isn’t just an excellent iPad Mini competitor; I genuinely prefer it.

As a researcher, I can confidently affirm that the Legion Tab stands out as an exceptional choice for gaming enthusiasts across multiple levels. However, its true brilliance extends beyond just gaming. It’s an ideal pick for individuals seeking a compact tablet that can effortlessly match their daily routines.

4. Alienware 27 4K QD-OLED Gaming Monitor (AW2725Q)

In recent times, there’s been a significant improvement in OLED technology, particularly in gaming monitors and laptops. It’s now faster, smoother, and more dependable, making it the preferred option for serious gamers seeking a high-end gaming experience.

Among numerous top-tier OLED gaming monitors I’ve scrutinized, the Alienware AW2725Q stands out as one of my top picks due to its impressive features such as a 4K resolution, fast 240Hz refresh rate, a reliable 3-year warranty, and an affordable price under $1,000.

In my Alienware 27 4K QD-OLED Gaming Monitor (AW2725Q) review, I said:

Alienware has incorporated cutting-edge OLED technology into a compact 27-inch gaming monitor, creating a high-end product that delivers on its promise. Although it may not offer an abundance of additional features, this minimalist approach contributes to a more affordable price compared to many other monitors in its category.

This monitor is specifically designed for individuals who prioritize top-tier image quality and performance, and aren’t swayed by additional features that increase the price of other models. Personally, I prefer a larger 32-inch screen, but the AW2725Q offers exceptional value (particularly when it goes on sale, which happens frequently).

3. Audeze MM-100

In the high-fidelity audio sector, Audeze is recognized as a pioneer in planar magnetic technology, a unique method significantly distinct from typical headphones you might find. Regrettably, these headphones often carry price tags ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars, which makes them unattainable for many consumers.

The MM-100 represents Audeze’s endeavor to make their distinctive sound more budget-friendly, catering to the needs of an average music enthusiast who wants a taste of premium audio quality. These headphones might not be flawless, but you won’t find comparable planar magnetic headphones at this price range.

In my Audeze MM-100 review, I stated:

The Audeze MM-100 is a recent effort by the esteemed audio firm to expand into broader markets, offering their planar magnetic headphone technology at a significantly reduced cost compared to their premium high-end models. This product’s pricing is competitive, its sound quality is exceptional, and it caters to audiophiles of all skill levels. If you understand what you’re purchasing and can tolerate minor trade-offs, it’s hard to find better value at this price range.

With a 3.5mm headphone jack, the Audeze MM-100 can be used on almost any device. However, the quality of your listening experience will significantly improve when paired with high-quality hardware, particularly a dedicated Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC).

2. Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (Gen 10)

Initially, Lenovo’s foray into the gaming market with the Legion brand didn’t impress much. However, over time, Lenovo Legion has significantly improved and is now well-recognized as a dependable and widely preferred choice for gaming hardware.

Lenovo’s Legion Pro 7i (Gen 10) makes its second appearance on our list, a 16-inch powerhouse gaming laptop boasting the latest Intel and NVIDIA hardware. This model benefits from Lenovo’s extensive redesign, making it an exceptional device in numerous aspects.

In my (very detailed) Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (Gen 10) review, I said:

While the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i may no longer be the budget-friendly powerhouse it once was in previous years, its latest iteration introduces a new wave of Intel and NVIDIA technology. This model boasts a fantastic redesign, an exceptional OLED screen, and top-tier performance that rivals other high-end laptops. It’s safe to say that this gaming laptop is one of the best releases of 2021. However, it’s unfortunate that the moveable ports at the rear have been removed.

The latest M7i Legion Pro model certainly qualifies as a high-end device, and it stands out as one of the top performers in its category. Notably, it offers better value compared to competitors such as Razer, with significant savings. It comes very close to being the pinnacle of gaming laptops… I can’t help but miss the rear ports that were previously available.

1. XREAL One Pro

If you find it unexpected to spot a pair of AR glasses leading my list of favorite products reviewed in 2025, I can relate – it’s surprising even to me. Yet, XREAL has undeniably deserved its position with the One Pro model. In numerous aspects, this device truly represents the zenith of augmented reality technology.

In my opinion, just as Jez Corden contends, it seems that XREAL would have been a more suitable partner for Xbox compared to Meta’s Quest headsets. The top-tier XREAL One Pro offers an impressive demonstration of what contemporary technology is capable of, providing you with a spacious, stunning, and private cinema experience for all your devices, regardless of location.

In my XREAL One Pro review, I stated:

The One Pro by XREAL solidifies their position as a pioneering innovator in the augmented reality glasses market, offering cutting-edge advancements that make this wearable technology valuable for most consumers. The design, displays, and features are all of high quality, creating an exceptional personal theater experience for work, gaming, and entertainment. However, the XREAL One Pro AR glasses are quite pricey, and there is a trade-off in terms of cost when opting for this more self-contained design.

Allow me to clarify, the XREAL One Pro are quite an expensive purchase, yet it might not be necessary to splurge at this level. The basic XREAL One AR spectacles offer plenty of worth for those who enjoy gaming, viewing, or working on-the-go, whether they’re in bed, traveling, or anyplace other than in front of a TV or screen.
