Brooke Shields’ Trainer Nofar Hagag Says This May Help You Sleep

Before heading off to bed, you might not want to overlook the advice of Pilates instructor Nofar Hagag, who is renowned for her Nofar Method workouts that celebrities like Brooke Shields and Carey Mulligan endorse. She suggests incorporating a light cardio activity into your nighttime routine as a potential solution for ensuring quality sleep.

In an exclusive interview with TopMob News’ Francesca Amiker, Hagag explained that eating a heavy dinner and going straight to bed is counterproductive. Instead, she recommends taking a 15-20 minute walk before bedtime, which can lead to more peaceful sleep and improved sleep quality.

Walking offers both physical and mental health advantages. In fact, Hagag finds walking outdoors to be particularly meditative, especially after spending long hours indoors in front of screens. She shared that taking a stroll not only provides mental clarity but also leaves you feeling energized.

Walking is just one aspect of Hagag’s fitness regimen. Typically, she advises exercising three times a week, with rest days in between, and including Pilates, strength training, cardio, and other activities.

While followers of the Nofar Method rave about her special 25-minute Cadillac machine and reformer workout routine that incorporates various props, Hagag emphasizes that consistency is the most important factor in any fitness class. “The best secret behind achieving anything is to be consistent,” she said. “You should find a location that’s convenient so you don’t waste time traveling for a Pilates or fitness class.”

She also recommends choosing an activity that you genuinely enjoy:

“Another crucial factor is to find something that brings joy to both your mind and body,” Hagag added. “It doesn’t have to be challenging, but it should be enjoyable. People tend to stick with activities they are truly passionate about.

Finding a teacher or studio that resonates with you can be beneficial.
“They should look for someone or a place where they can establish a connection,” Hagag advised. “Just as some people can boost your spirits, it’s about finding the right individual who aligns with your energy.”
Although it may seem tempting to quit after a couple of sessions, the college water polo player suggests giving an activity a chance for at least three to four times before making a decision.
But regardless of how one incorporates exercise into their routine, Hagag encourages them to stay mindful and not get engrossed in their devices or endless to-do lists.
“If people truly come with the intention to work out and mentally detach from everything else and concentrate on themselves,” she said, “that will significantly impact many individuals.”
This is how Hagag aims to make her clients feel when they visit her studios in New York and Miami for the Nofar Method, which focuses on strengthening the core and developing long, toned muscles.
“The ambiance of the place is soothing,” Hagag told TopMob. “The lighting is soft, music plays softly, it doesn’t feel like a demanding workout with a teacher shouting at you through a microphone. We have genuine conversations with our clients during class: if you feel it in specific areas, if you want to increase the intensity.”
Ultimately, she wants her clients to experience, “The fulfillment that comes from completing a challenging workout, but feeling good both physically and mentally.”
