Popular superhero shows often explain their fantastical elements with science – things like advanced technology, lab mishaps, or genetic changes. Other shows, however, lean into magic, natural superpowers, and supernatural dangers more commonly seen in fantasy stories. Luckily, for viewers who enjoy when superheroes and the mystical world collide, there’s been a growing number of highly enjoyable shows to rewatch in recent years.
This is especially true for the Watch Dogs series, which aimed to compete with Rockstar’s popular GTA games while also bringing fresh ideas to open-world adventures. Ubisoft’s efforts to create something unique were often successful, but the series always felt like it was still developing. Unfortunately, if recent rumors are correct, Ubisoft has now cancelled the Watch Dogs franchise, meaning it likely won’t reach its full potential.
In 2024 and continuing into 2025, Bluey was the most-streamed TV series. A recent Nielsen report shows the Disney+ animated show reached over 45 billion minutes of viewing time, surpassing even popular Netflix titles. Stranger Things logged just over 39 billion minutes, while Grey’s Anatomy actually exceeded it with over 40 billion. With an animated spin-off planned for Stranger Things this year, it remains to be seen if the franchise can challenge Bluey‘s dominance in 2026.
Vin Diesel, known for his role in the Fast & Furious series, announced on Instagram that the franchise will continue beyond the current films. He shared a photo with his late co-star Paul Walker and wrote a message about their shared journey and lasting impact, revealing a release date of March 17, 2028, with the title “FAST FOREVER.” This suggests the series will continue with new installments, a shift from earlier plans for the films.

The announcement came through Vin Diesel’s Instagram. The actor and producer shared a photo of himself with his late co-star, Paul Walker, from the original The Fast and the Furious film released in 2001.
Safin infected Bond’s loved ones, Madeleine and Mathilde Swann, with a technologically advanced virus called Heracles. This virus was designed to target specific people, meaning Bond couldn’t be near them without putting their lives in danger. He decided to stay at Safin’s base as it was destroyed, guaranteeing the virus couldn’t spread further. His death was clearly shown, within the limits of a PG-13 rating, and now the future of the Bond series is uncertain.
Kindt described the inspiration behind the series, explaining he wanted to explore a story about the world’s strongest hero being driven mad by constantly hearing the pleas for help around him. This hero eventually loses his powers and finds happiness as an ordinary person. The story then focuses on the difficult choice he faces: sacrifice his well-being to continue saving the world, or prioritize his own peace and live a normal life. Kindt feels this is a powerful dilemma with no easy answer, and he created the series to explore it.
I’m really excited about this new show! They’re not giving away much about the plot yet, but apparently, Lindelof is approaching it like he did with Watchmen. It won’t be a direct copy of the book, but more of a deeper dive into the story and characters. Knowing McKinty’s work, which is seriously dark and twisty, that’s a pretty bold move, but I’m intrigued to see where he takes it!
