The Duchess of York expressed her belief in the importance of family unity during an interview with Hello!, published on June 3. She shared her delight over the Royal Family’s unwavering support for one another and their ability to persevere.
Sarah commended Kate deeply for her courage in discussing her health journey publicly, during which she disclosed having undergone preventative chemotherapy and shared the news of her diagnosis with their children – Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8), and Prince Louis (5) – in an open and honest manner.
Sarah, a 64-year-old mother of two, has personally dealt with cancer. She underwent a single mastectomy for breast cancer in the year 2023 and more recently, was diagnosed with skin cancer. Her children, Princess Beatrice (35) and Princess Eugenie (34), are from her previous marriage to Prince Andrew.
She’s openly raised her daughters with a policy of honesty, ensuring they understand that she won’t sugarcoat the truth. So when they asked if all the cancer had been removed during their treatment, and the answer was affirmative, they felt reassured knowing the truth.
Sarah went on, “My family is truly extraordinary, my team is simply remarkable, and I possess a tremendous capacity for finding joy.”
Regarding Charles, I too commend the king for handling his health challenges gracefully. After revealing his cancer diagnosis in February and undergoing treatment, he resumed his official duties in April.
“Sarah emphasized that it’s not necessary to constantly intervene, like occasional checks-in or ‘Hello, we’re here’ messages. She was greatly moved by the King’s decision to support Cancer Research UK as its patron.”

May 13 saw King Charles III conferring the Colonel-in-Chief position of the Army Air Corps upon his eldest son, a decision met with controversy among some royal observers who thought Prince Harry, having undergone military training and service within that corps, would be a more fitting recipient.

In a video message released on March 22, the Princess of Wales announced that she had received a cancer diagnosis following her abdominal surgery in January.
I believed my condition was benign based on initial assessments. The surgery went well, but afterward, tests revealed the presence of cancer. My doctors then recommended a regimen of chemotherapy to prevent the spread of the disease. I’m currently in the early stages of this treatment plan.
Following the withdrawal of the image by photo agencies of the photograph Kate, the Princess of Wales, had posted on March 10 after her abdominal surgery, she responded to allegations that the picture had been manipulated.

Lady Gabriella Windsor’s husband and previous boyfriend of Pippa Middleton was discovered deceased on February 25th. A coroner’s inquiry later revealed that his death was a result of suicide.
During King Charles III’s stay at the hospital for a benign prostate enlargement operation, it was unfortunately discovered that he had cancer.

On January 21st, a representative for the Duchess of York announced that Sarah had been diagnosed with malignant melanoma – a severe type of skin cancer – in recent times. Prior to this, she had undergone a surgical procedure involving the removal of a single breast to treat breast cancer several months earlier.
On January 14th, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, in a historic move, relinquished the throne and passed it on to her son, who is now referred to as King Frederik X.
On January 17, Kensington Palace revealed that Kate Middleton had scheduled abdominal surgery and was anticipated to stay at the hospital for between 10 and 14 days.
As an avid follower of her health updates, I can tell you that according to the latest medical recommendations, she’s not expected to resume her public engagements before the Easter holiday.
During Kate’s healing process, Prince William cancelled several appointments to be there for his loved ones. This included caring for their three kids – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Right after news broke about Kate’s hospital stay, the palace announced that Charles had been seeking medical attention for an enlarged prostate.
The King’s health is favorable, but he needs to undergo a corrective procedure at the hospital next week. Therefore, his public engagements will be temporarily postponed for him to rest and recuperate.
