This is a refreshed version of Muramasa Rebirth, which was itself an updated release of the original Muramasa: The Demon Blade. In an interview with ScreenRant, Marvel Television’s Brad Winderbaum discussed the future of X-Men ’97 after the X-Men join the main Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He stated that both the animated series and live-action versions of the X-Men can exist at the same time, pointing to the multiple different Spider-Man projects – like Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the Spider-Verse movies, and other shows – as a precedent. Winderbaum specifically confirmed that X-Men ’97 can continue alongside live-action X-Men stories, which is exciting news for fans of the animated series.
