Therefore, he came up with the moves “Divergent Fist” and “Black Flash.” The concept behind these moves originated from the “Flash” counterattack in the game “Onimusha,” which is commonly used during real-time attacks. Additionally, Akutami appreciated that it wasn’t a rare skill and could be employed to enhance voltage after only one use.
In the context of the show and the reliance on chance, Akutami points out that this factor creates suspense because both sides can unexpectedly employ it. It involves a degree of probability but can be repeated, leading to significant shifts in battles. Moreover, when enemies can also wield Black Flash, the tension heightens even further.
