The Walking Dead Spinoffs and More AMC Shows Will Stream on Netflix

As a die-hard fan of The Walking Dead universe, I couldn’t be more excited about Netflix’s latest move to acquire 15 AMC shows, including Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Having binge-watched all 11 seasons of the original series on Netflix already, I can’t wait to revisit some of my favorite characters and storylines from these spinoffs.

As a passionate gamer and fan of The Walking Dead Universe, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! Starting next month, Netflix is expanding its offerings with an additional 15 shows from AMC joining their lineup. Among them are the much-loved spinoffs like Fear the Walking Dead, Daryl Dixon, Dead City, and The Ones Who Live. Plus, all 11 seasons of the flagship Walking Dead series, which aired for an impressive 177 episodes between 2010 and 2022, are already available to stream on Netflix. So, gamer friends, get ready to binge-watch even more of The Walking Dead Universe right here on Netflix!

Starting August 19th, 2024, subscribers of Netflix can access shows like “Fear” and “Daryl Dixon.” Two more series, “Dead City” and “The Ones Who Live,” will join them on the platform starting January 13th, 2025. In total, Netflix users will have access to an impressive collection of 32 seasons from AMC for a whole year as per the new agreement.

As a fan, I’m excited to share that some new AMC shows will be joining Netflix starting January 2025.

In the previous year, AMC Networks provided Max (previously HBO Max) with the latest seasons of shows like “Fear the Walking Dead” and others for a two-month duration. The “AMC+ Hub on Max” feature granted Max users free access to over 200 episodes spanning across seven series from AMC Networks, thereby increasing the popularity of AMC+ among viewers.

“Through this deal with Netflix, AMC Networks’ top-notch programs will be accessible to a large number of viewers, keeping the AMC brand visible. We’re carefully releasing these handpicked shows to generate excitement for current and upcoming seasons on our own platform and collaborative partners. By expanding our partnership with Netflix, we anticipate increased viewership and engagement on their platform, while also increasing recognition and appeal for our critically-acclaimed content on AMC and partner platforms throughout our distribution network.”

To prepare for the upcoming September premiere of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dion – The Book of Carol” on AMC and AMC+, fans will first have the opportunity to watch the entire six-episode first season of “Daryl Dixon” at their leisure.
