Talk to Princess Cimest

The Forest and the Princess Quest Guide

As an old traveler with years of adventures under my belt, I have seen and experienced many wondrous things. But nothing quite prepared me for the trials set before me by the enigmatic Princess Cimest.

Following much conversation, pursue Princess Cimest to a training area and finish the challenges. During these trials, gain insights into the rules of the flying squirrel mini-game.

Flying squirels from the Kingdom of Breezes and Bells are skillful in gliding through the air. Approach them gently and press the “interact” key to collaborate and guide them among the “garlands”.

As a fan, I’d describe it like this: When we press and hold the Attack button during teamwork, a flight path becomes visible. After releasing the Attack button, the flying squirrel tries to glide through the garland following the indicated path.

After reaching the end of their flight, flying squirrels will promptly turn around. You can call them back by pressing the “Summon” button once they’ve thrown their flower balls in mid-air.

Once you’ve finished the initial two easy assessments, you’ll receive additional teaching resources. However, for this next task, only Princess Cimest is capable of carrying it out, not any other squirrels.

Príncess Cimest is the sole being with the remarkable ability to fly against the wind current in that passage. Common flying squirrels, however, would be deterred by the turbulent storm of petals instead.

While soaring with Cimest on the wind current, you’ll need to leap and glide toward the next piece of drifting debris (located at the end of the wind current). Tap the ATK button to call Cimest back to you, inside the three garlands. Afterward, make your way to the subsequent floating debris for the following challenge.

Flowers that fold in for a cozy rest. They’ll unfurl following unexpected jolts, such as squirrel leaps or disturbances. Once startled, they express their annoyance by generating a gentle breeze strong enough to sway wreaths.

Third Trial

While soaring through the wind current on Cimest’s wings, you must then leap and glide towards the next cluster of driftwood at the wind’s end. Once there, press the ATK button to bring Cimest back to you, enveloped within the four garlands.

After completing the test, you’ll hear a voice from the large door. However, you don’t need to go there yet as your next action is elsewhere. First, interact with the teleport waypoint close by. Then, continue with the quest instructions for the upcoming trial in a new location.

Once you’ve acquired the relic, there’s one more challenge left for you. Unfortunately, it turns out to be identical to the third trial you had just completed. Suddenly, a band of adversaries disrupts your progress. In order to move forward, you must vanquish these foes. Meanwhile, Princess Cimest will take care of dealing with the remaining garlands.
