As a huge fan of Superman and the DC Universe, I couldn’t be more excited about James Gunn’s latest project bringing the Man of Steel back to the big screen. Having followed the production closely since its inception, I’ve been captivated by Gunn’s dedication and passion for this iconic character.
As a huge fan of Superman and someone who has followed James Gunn’s career closely, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and pride reading about the filming wrapping up in Cleveland, Ohio for the upcoming Superman movie. Having grown up with stories of Superman saving the day and defending truth, justice, and the American way, it’s truly heartwarming to see this new era of The Man of Steel being brought to life on the shores of Lake Erie.
I’ve spent six incredible weeks in Cleveland, and now it’s time for me to say goodbye. When I first arrived here on a scout over ten months ago, the city welcomed me with Terminal Tower adorned in Superman’s colors. It was then that I knew this place held a unique charm.
As a huge fan, I felt an exhilarating sense of pride standing in the very place where Jerry and Joe brought Superman to life for the first time. Your dedication to embodying his spirit left a profound impact on me. But it wasn’t just your connection to this iconic character that resonated with me; it was also your deep love and commitment to your community, hometown, radio stations, restaurants, and gathering places. Every city would be envious of having people as passionate and welcoming as you. Your kindness, warmth, and hospitality towards us and our team during the filming were truly invaluable. A million thanks for being such amazing friends and partners on this incredible journey. Sending much love your way.

DC Studies and Warner Bros. Discovery are excited to present a new version of Superman in cinemas. James Gunn’s interpretation of Superman marks a significant beginning for his DC Universe. The top brass at the companies, including CEO David Zaslav, have been vocal about their enthusiasm for Gunn’s work with DC. Last year during the Upfronts presentation, Zaslav publicly endorsed their collaborative project with the renowned filmmaker from Marvel Studios.
