As a huge fan of Star Wars and Rosario Dawson’s portrayal of Ahsoka Tano, I couldn’t be more thrilled to see the series recognized by the Emmy Awards with five nominations! The costumes, hairstyling, prosthetic makeup, visual effects, and sound editing in Ahsoka are truly exceptional, and it’s a testament to the dedication and hard work of the talented team behind the scenes.
Today, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences revealed the nominees for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, including several fan-favorite shows. Among them is “Star Wars: Ahsoka,” the live-action Disney+ series featuring Rosario Dawson in the title role, which continues the storyline from the cherished animated series, “Star Wars Rebels.” The program has garnered five Emmy nominations in the categories of Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes, Outstanding Period and/or Fantasy/Sci-Fi Hairstyling, Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup, Outstanding Special Visual Effects, and Outstanding Sound Editing.

Is Ahsoka Getting a Season 2?
In January, it came out that the production of a second season for “Star Wars: Ahsoka” was underway, officially confirmed. Rosario Dawson initially portrayed Ahsoka Tano in “Star Wars: The Mandalorian,” then reappeared in that role in “The Book of Boba Fett.” Last year brought the much-anticipated premiere of “Ahsoka’s” solo series. During her episode in “The Book of Boba Fett,” Dawson collaborated with Star Wars icon, Mark Hamill. In April, they reunited to record a unique episode for Manifest Media’s “Table Read” podcast, which we attended at the recording. We asked Dawson if she had any new information regarding “Ahsoka.”
“I haven’t had a chance to check out ‘Ahsoka’ Season 2 yet,” Dawson admitted when asked. But her enthusiasm was clear as she exclaimed, “Absolutely! I’m really looking forward to continuing the series. It’s a major production. The cast is fantastic, and it’s such a pleasure working with this team. We get more of Ahsoka and Sabine, which I can’t wait for. Plus, there are new stories being told, which is just amazing to me. I can’t help but be excited about potential new costumes and unraveling the mysteries.”
What Is Dave Filoni’s Star Wars Movie About?
As a passionate gamer and avid Star Wars fan, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news. Dave Filoni, the mastermind behind Star Wars: Ahsoka and the Chief Creative Officer at Lucasfilm, is working on a new movie project that promises to bring closure to The Mandalorian timeline. Although details are still scarce, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation knowing it will take place during the New Republic era. With Filoni’s knack for creating epic stories, I’m confident this film will be an unforgettable addition to the Star Wars universe.
As a gamer, I can relate to Filoni’s perspective on the vastness of the Star Wars galaxy. Jon Favreau and I may have our small corner of this universe, but there are endless opportunities waiting to be explored. In my gaming world, I might say, “We’ve got our cozy corner in the Star Wars saga, but there’s so much more out there. Remember the iconic moment when the Death Star exploded in ‘A New Hope’? That marked a turning point in the timeline and opened up new storytelling possibilities. If we were following a show set during that time, we would feel the ripple effect as things changed around us. But not all stories need to directly connect to that cinematic moment – there are countless ways to tell unique Star Wars tales.”
