Path of Exile’s Necropolis Won’t be Added to the Core Game

As a long-time Path of Exile gamer, I’ve been through my fair share of Challenge Leagues and their unique mechanics. The news about the Necropolis Challenge League coming to an end and the removal of the Necropolis from the core game is bittersweet for me. On one hand, it means that any progress we made in the league will carry over to our respective Standard leagues, allowing us to keep building on our characters. However, on the other hand, I’m disappointed that we won’t get to keep the unique items from the Necropolis, such as the Coffins and Allflame Embers.

Grinding Gear Games is about to unveil “Path of Exile”: Settlers of Kalguur soon, and they’ve shared some news regarding the Necropolis Challenge League. After its conclusion, the Necropolis feature won’t carry over into the main game. Consequently, the Necropolis area will be taken down and any remaining Coffins and Allflame Embers will be eliminated.

In the Standard League, characters will continue to transfer to their designated tiers and make progress. With the exception of items from The Perandus Pact, all distinctive items from the Necropolis can be obtained from the same pool of drops. The Challenge League will conclude on July 26th, which is also the date for the release of Settlers of Kalguur.

As a long-time fan of Path of Exile, I’ve grown accustomed to the game’s intricacies and challenges. However, when it comes to the mechanics and rewards of the latter content, I must admit that I’m in the dark. Grinding Gear Games, the developers behind this masterpiece, have promised some exciting quality-of-life improvements.
